What do we do?• Teach First recruits top graduates to commit to a two year
Leadership Development ProgrammeLeadership Development Programme teaching in a challenging school. Participants are provided with two years of training starting with six intensive weeks before starting full time in their school.
• After your initial two year commitment to school, you choose what to do next – inside or outside of the classroom – but whatever you choose to do we will support you, as a leader in all fields, to continue to address educational disadvantage in your role as a Teach First Ambassador.Teach First Ambassador.

Two years fully paid teaching in a challenging secondary school, making a difference inthe classroom addressing educational disadvantage whilst developing transferableskills that set you apart in a competitive marketplace.
Participants benefit from an innovative leadership development programme focussingon three areas: Leading Learning, Leading People and Leading Organisations, which isFully endorsed by a range of supporters,
Gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and the opportunity to worktowards a Masters
Become part of a network of ambassadors all aiming to address educationaldisadvantage in the long term – whatever career they choose.

Where do we do it?
East Midlands, London, North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire
To benefit from access to TeachFirst participants schools generallymeet one of three criteria:
• National Challenge or CityChallenge school
• 30% or more of pupils receive free school meals
• 25% or less A*-C GCSE grades

Ambassadors: Where are they now?
Year on year, approximately 50% of our Ambassadors have opted to stay in teaching and continue to address educational disadvantage this way.
Others have moved to a variety of leading organisations, including:
ARK, Accenture, AstraZenica, Barclays Capital, BT, Capital One Bank, Civil Service Fast Stream, DCSF, Deloitte, EMI, Freshfields, Google, GSK, Hammonds LLP, HSBC, IBM, Imperial College London, JP Morgan, NHS, Oliver Wyman Limited, Procter & Gamble, PWC, Teach for India and many more……

We are looking for:• 2.1 degree or above
• 300 UCAS points (or equivalent, excluding General Studies)
• Degree in a subject that is aligned to a National Curriculum subject or A-level grade A or B in certain subjects
• Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
• Flexibility to work anywhere within the East Midlands, London, North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire regions
• An ability to demonstrate relevant subject knowledge
