Imagine English Language Academy have joined together with Ben Dobbs (BD Communications) to o�er EFL teachers the opportunity to gain the Cert IBET (Certi�cate in International Business English Teaching) quali�cation.

The Cert IBET is designed to develop teachers’ ability to deliver quality Business English training to their clients. This international quali�cation is accredited by English UK and Trinity College London.

• Make the transition from teaching General English to Business English with the IELA / BD Communications Cert IBET course.

Entry Requirements:The Cert IBET course is open to anyone who:

Has two or more years' experience or has gained their initial quali�cation(CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL)

Non-native English speaking teachers are welcome but must demonstrate Englishto a level of IELTS 8 or higher.

Assessment:During the course you will gather ideas and receive tutorials and coaching for a post-course assignment. Within 12 weeks of the end of the course you will submit a written task based on a practical teachingscenario of between 3000 and 5000 words). The assignment is moderated by Trinity College London.

Outcomes:By the end of the course you will:

• Have expanded your knowledge of the world of business.

• Be able to manage business and training relationships involved in teaching or training Business English.

• Know key procedures for needs analysis and assessment.

• Have developed a knowledge of teaching and training in the classroom, in companies and virtually on a group or one-to-one basis.

• Acquired the necessary knowledge to submit your assignment for the Cert IBET international qualification.

• Gained familiarity with current best practice in teaching Business English.

• Learnt how to adapt your professional approach to the needs of corporate and individual clients.

• Developed a greater understanding of communication in the business world including inter-cultural communication and soft skills.
