Tea for Two Your basic tool kit plus: Mini semi-circle (code 10237) perforating tool White pencil and rule Pergamano Sticky Glue (code 41806) and glitter Cardstock and ordinary parchment paper Pergamano Botanical Garden parchment paper (code 62604) Perga scissors and glue, Multi Grid 27, brad and ribbon TRACING - Trace all outlines using a white pencil. EMBOSSING - Working from the back emboss all lines with an extra small ball embossing tool. Emboss the flowers on the teapot and cups until white. Using an extra large ball tool emboss around the rim of cups and saucers. Emboss the sides of the cups to give them shape using an extra large ball tool. Allow the paper to settle and then emboss again with a large ball tool. STIPPLING - Still working from the back lightly emboss the teapot lid and handle along with the cup handles. Take your work off of the embossing mat and place on top of a piece of cardboard. Now using a 1-needle perforating tool gently prick the areas just embossed. The needle should not make holes in the parchment, merely push the paper slightly to the front. PERFORATING AND CUTTING – Working from the front, perforate using a two-needle perforating tool, around the sections in the teapot and cut out with perga scissors Still using the same tool perforate along the scalloped edge. Perforate shallow along the sides using a 5-needle tool. Working from the back emboss around the centre of every other of the 5-needle perforations. Continuing on the front re-perforate deep into the 5-needle perforations and give a twist left and right to elongate the holes. Cut out all perforations with perga scissors. TABLE CLOTH - Using a patterned piece of parchment approximately 6cm in depth and the width of the card mark a line in white pencil 0.5 cm above the bottom and perforate shallow along the line with the mini semi-circle perforating tool. Emboss the perforations and re-perforate deep. TAG - Using Multi Grid 27 emboss, perforate and cut out with perga scissors. Attach a happy birthday sticker.

  • MAKING UP - Fold an A4 card in half. Cut off approximately 1 cm from the short side. Attach the table cloth along the bottom and fold the excess to the back and glue in place. Stitch the outer card to the card. Cut a piece of card measuring 2.2 x 15 cm and attach to the card. Using a section from the Botanical Garden selection of parchment paper perforate shallow along one edge with the mini semi-circle perforating tool as above and this time cut out. Attach to the card using a very thin piece of double sided tape. Add a bow. Attach the happy birthday tag with a brad. Place a small amount of perga glue along the left side edge of the card to hold down the corner. Using the sticky glue and a mapping pen go around outlines of your choice and then sprinkle glitter.
