Consider this first fall of Jesus

under His cross. His flesh wastorn by the scourges, Hishead crowned with thorns,and he had lost a greatquantity of blood.

Prayers:

O Jesus by this first fall,never let me fall into mortalsin.

pain of how Christ falls under the weight of

Jesus is met by His Mother

Consider the meeting of the

Son and the Mother whichtook place in this journey.Son condemned without sinand His Mother in pain fornot being able to help HerSon. Try to feel the pain ofthe Mother in pity and love.

Meditation:

1)What is it like to watcha loved one suffer andknow there is nothingyou can do to help?

2)How might you betterappreciate those whocare about you?

Prayer:O Jesus, may no human

tie, however dear, keep mefrom following the road ofthe cross.

The pilgrim after meditation and prayer

Sunday, the notes will be offered in prayer

make him feel how hard it is to fall and

stand like what happened to Jesus. They can

say their prayers while kneeling in the gravel

covered with sack cloth to make them feeltheir prayer more.
