Pilot Student Reflections
• I thought this class was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an online course that is
both engaging and informative. I had a lot of fun learning with my classmates and found the discussions very
intriguing; the questions were pertinent to our lives and the experiences and knowledge from the other
students just made the assignments more substantive.
• I would definitely recommend this course to a friend and non-
friend because the course is well-organized, covers significant anthropological ground/the basics of cultural anthropology, and is composed of useful anthropological education activities.
Pilot Student Reflections
• …actually make us THINK instead of just looking for answers within a book, or online. I feel that when I am pushed to deduce ideas on my own instead of just copying them from text is when I actually retain the information from a class!
• The discussion topics were interesting in that they required
critical thinking relating to current events instead of just rote memorization from a text and because LM kept
the class on track encouraging us to ask deeper questions while providing us with additional sources to consider.
