Over view of the video…• The whole video shows a couple going through the

typical stages of a relationship. This is shown through a flash back when the couple meet for the first time in a coffee shop.

• This is very clear as the on screen couple are seen doing the exact same things sung in the lyrics. Occasionally even saying the lyrics at the same time as they are sung.

The video is illustrating.

Genre: Country/ Pop

Meeting for the first time

• The video begins with the artist entering a café, sitting down and being served by a young male.

• The editing shows 3 cuts back and forth between them with startled looks on their faces.

• “You were in college, working part-time, waiting tables”

• This is clearly illustrated through the visuals as we see the male walking over to take the artists order.

Saying Lyrics

• “Then, you took me by surpriseYou said, "I'll never leave you alone.“

• We see the male actor in the video say these words as the artist sings them. Very obviously, out of the three possible options, illustrating the link between the lyrics and visuals.

• This accrue once or twice in the whole video but it works well and effectively.

Back to Present

• “We're gonna make it nowAnd I can see it, I can see it now”

• We return back to the original scene in the café by zooming in on the scene as the customers begin to move again.

• Through the lyrics we see that the artist has just seen what the couples future can be. And through most of the visuals this can also be seen.
