How to begin Taylor & Francis Online At http://www.car.chula.ac.th/ref-db/slist.html#general , select Taylor & Francis Online, the data base home page will be displayed as the following. From the main page of Taylor & Francis Online, user can Browse, Search, and do Advanced search. Browse Click “Browse” from menu bar of the main page, the next screen will be available for user to browse publications by Title, and by Subject as followed. User can choose to browse all publication, journals, or reference works For Browse by subject, user can select any subject area, i.e. “Behavioral Sciences”, the screen will show list of disciplines with number of titles within parentheses as the following. Alphabetical list of publication, within the selected subject will be provided on the right column of the screen. Search Search option provides simple “Search box” for user to type word or phrase, i.e. ‘woman worker’, and click on “Search” as below figure. Advanced Search Advanced Search offers more detailed searching, such as limiting it to a certain article / chapter title, publication name, author, or keyword(s), as well as giving the option to set a particular date range and incorporate Boolean operators (AND/OR/NOT) into desired search. Click “Advanced search” on the main page, user will get the following screen on next page. Taylor & Francis Online via the CU Reference Databases provide full-text access to peer-reviewed research journals covering multiple subject areas from Taylor & Francis. Subjects covered include Humanities, Behavioral Sciences, Education, Economics, Finance, and Business & Industry, Engineering & Technology, Social Sciences, Politics & International Relations, Area Studies, Environment & Agriculture, Health & Social Care, Geography, and others.

How to begin Taylor & Francis Online

select Taylor & Francis Online, the data base home page will be displayed as the following.

From the main page of Taylor & Francis Online, user

can Browse, Search, and do Advanced search.

Browse

Click “Browse” from menu bar of the main page, the next screen will be available for user to browse publications by Title, and by Subject as followed.

User can choose to browse all publication, journals, or

reference works

For Browse by subject, user can select any subject area, i.e. “Behavioral Sciences”, the screen will show list of disciplines with number of titles within parentheses as the following.

screen.

Search

Search option provides simple “Search box” for user to type word or phrase, i.e. ‘woman worker’, and click on “Search” as below figure.

The user then can formulate search by the following

steps:

Type word or phrase in ‘Search Criteria’ box, i.e. to

search for Full Text articles about “environment”, with

phrase “climate change” appeared in Article title, and

with phrase “global warming” as Keyword. The user

uses Operator AND to combine search fields.

Limit publication date to “January 2010 to

December 2012”, and

Click on “Search”.

Search results will be available as the next figure.

Search Results

User can manage search results with different options

provided by the database, namely,

Download full text

View abstract, citations, or related

Click on any title to view in detail, or

Choose item with the check box.

Export

From the search result screen, user can continue to

export citations to EndNote. To export, user can

Use the check box to select required items,

Click on drop down list, and

Select “Download citation”.

Next screen will display download citation steps, from

which user has to choose format as “RIS”, contents as

“Citation” or “Citation and abstract” as needed, click

on “Download citations”, and click “Open” as the

following.

Selected citations will be automatically exported to

EndNote program as figure below.

Close Taylor & Francis Online

Click X on the right of the screen to exit Taylor &

Francis Online.
