I, Jasbir Bijendra Bhati, an aspiring film maker always wanted to make a film which touches the

reality grounds and the society at large. Tai dri!er" will be my #rd film as a director. after

ha!ing a successful $% years in Tele!ision Industry as &irector for production house like Balaji

Tele films, 'T(, )reati!e *ye etc.

The urge to make this film is to bring out the neglected and naked truth of society with a strong

and much needed 'ni!ersal message.

This story has a lot of say and will successfully strike the emotional aspect of human !alues

substantiating the )ommercial achie!ement.

I always wondered what people derived out of writin' their own

travelo'ues. I decided% it was somethin' I had to experience first(hand. )y

"ourney however% would &e chronicled in my own words% my own thou'hts. *o

enchanted rende+vous &etween the sky and the earth% no poetic fli'hts offantasies. ,ust the truth. -he way I saw it% felt it and lived it

I always saw thin's as they were and not as they ou'ht to &e. Its the way I

am. )y mind would immediately seek the science or the lo'ic &ehind every

phenomenon. It only lon'ed for the truth% irrespective of whether it was

happy% sad% pictures/ue% 'ory% mechanical% lifeless% &lessin'% curse.-ruth is allthatmattered.

-he day is finally here. )y driver had helped me make the arran'ements. )y

taxi drivers uniform awaited me% my taxi stood outside. It would &e my

window that day and I would see the world throu'h it. -he city awaited me.

)y adventure was a&out to &e'in.

I 'lanced at myself in the rear view mirror. I saw somewhat of cheap

imposter. A lousy actor perhaps. 0ne that made too many mistakes and then

made an even worse effort to cover it up with second(rate improvisation.

1hether it &e han'in' out at the taxi stand% hustlin' travelers or dealin' withthem as I drove 2I was a mess.

I &e'an to reali+e that actin' that part had actually rendered me helpless .

I was nothin' more than a mute animal that stood in one place with his ears

alert or worse yet I was a mere inanimate o&"ect that couldnt respond to

anythin'. -he most I could do was 'rit my teeth as thou'h I was &itin' hardon a piece cloth to help me &ear the pain. I could pretend &ein' heartless or

impervious to everythin' happened around me. I could keep a strai'ht face.

But that was that.

Suddenly there were limits and &oundaries. I didnt possess the ri'ht to

comment on someone elses personal life. I was never the kind to impart wordsof wisdom re'ardin' ri'ht and wron'% more so &ecause I stron'ly &elieved that

no matter what% one cannot chan'e another person% unless the other person

wanted to consciously make that chan'e from within.

I found myself wonderin' why I wanted to make a record of my "ourney. It

certainly wasnt for my own satisfaction. $erhaps the real reason wassomewhere in the vicinity of makin' money out of it. I sensed a stru''le

everywhere around and inside of me. -his stru''le kept 'rowin' accompanied

&y a dilemma. I reali+ed that no one was happy. -here was no contentment or

peace. I was experiencin' the colours of life. -hey were innumera&le. I was

tryin' to decipher as to which colour was actually true.

$erhaps all colours are true in their own space% at their own time. 1hich

colours represented the different facets of life? -here were times when I

found some of them actually opposin' each other. I seeked clarity and I 'uess

that was my curse. I was tryin' to define life in terms of these various

shades. I wondered of my chances at unravelin' this mammoth mystery.

I came across characters% one after another. Each one came% 'ave me a'lance into his 3 her life and displayed new colours of life I had never &efore

seen. Everyone was complex in one way or another.

A &it of 'ood a &it of &ad. A &it of a violent &east and a &it of a civili+ed

human &ein'. In some cases the intense conflict &etween these two sides was

so very evident. At times I found this conflict &eautiful and at times ( simplyu'ly

4'liness -he importance of u'liness in life is often understated. #es u'liness

too has an important place in life. -hat was the lesson I learnt. I also

reali+ed that it was impossi&le to rid our lives of this u'liness.

-he wise often advice 'ettin' used to somethin' thats inevita&le.

4'liness is inevita&le and I think Im 'ettin' used to it.
