Mattos Filho Tax Practice is recognized in the Brazilian market as a leading practice. It is organized into 5 core groups by different tax law areas. It currently relies on approximately 115 professionals, 17 of whom are partners, who work from one of the Firm’s offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. Administrative litigation
• Relevant presence in the Brazilian Federal Board of Tax Appeals (CARF);
• Regular monitoring of relevant precedents;
• The Firm handles major ongoing cases in federal administrative level, especially cases involving issues related to goodwill amortization and PIS/COFINS tax credits;
• The tax specialists monitor inspections by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service.
Judicial litigation
