Special Needs Education
• The objective for special needs education is to
ensure the appropriate conditions for all
students
• Special services are ensured by the law
• A personalized study plan is made for
students who need special education
• There are ca. 250 special education students
in Tavastia Vocational College

In Tavastia Vocational College we also organize basic
education for adult immigrants
It takes two years from a adult immigrant to study the
same subjects that children study in Finnish primary
school, many of the courses are Finnish as a second
language studies but also for example mathematics,
English, history, biology, chemistry, sports etc.
We also have preparatory study programs for those
immigrants who are planning to study basic education as
an adult within the vocational college.
