What is special about them? Tatra Mountains is Part of the Carpathian Mountains. This mountain range is one of the highest in Europe. It provides really alpine landscapes. It is inhabited by a small ethnic group called ‘ the
highlanders’ – gorale. The mountains are home to many species in
danger: tatra chamois, red deer, brown bears and many more.
The highest point in Poland – Rysy 2,499 m. Tatras are protected by law – UNESCO.
