Task 5 improved

I think having the model on the front cover wear an outfit similar to this i.e. black would work well with the colour scheme of the magazine. As a teenage girl, the colour black is a classic and often viewed as fashionable. The dark clothing will also make the magazine appear more mature which targets the older teenage audience instead of brightly coloured clothes which stereotypically appeals to younger preteens. The white background will contrast the clothing along with the pink colouring involved in the girl’s magazine however the black text will help ensure it doesn’t look out of place. On the front cover I am planning to use a medium close up. This means make up and accessories will be visable. I feel that a brightly coloured lipstick will work well in presenting a female targeted magazine by showing that the pop artist is clearly into fashion and her appearance which is expected. If possible, the model can wear hoop/diamond earrings to create more of a glamouros persona. A plain background is typical for a pop music magazine cover and conforms to the conventions. I think every colour which present works well with white and helps the magazine look professional. I want the hair of the model to be down and not in an up-doo because longer hair is stereotypically more girly and feminine which will appeal to the TA.
