I will use techniques inspired frommagazines I already look at and enjoy such as NME. I will then choose myfinal 10 best images to bring forward for further editing or touching up (Ifneeded).Reasons for selection of theme (including inspiration from the work of others)I want to take these images to practice my techniques and because of myinterest in music and the photography of bands I like. I will use the techniques used and ideas as inspiration for my own work tohopefully achieve the same quality.The photo imaging equipment and medium that will be used and whyThe camera I will be using is the Canon EOS 7D the specs of the cameraare:http://www.cnet.com/products/canon-eos-7d/specs/This camera will be able to achieve the photos I want to take in a highquality. I may also need to take a tripod if I want to take slow shutter speed 3. shots, to ensure there is no unwanted movement of the camera. So themotion blur is clean and crisp.Techniques that will be used and how they will help convey the visualmessageI will be shooting in a mix of different lightings so I will need to be activelychanging the settings on my camera to achieve the most attractive shot.When in low key lighting areas making the shutter speed slower andopening the f stop to make the photo a bit brighter than it would benaturally and vice versa. I will most likely be using black and white filters onmy photos as Daniel Harris (NME) did. So I need to make sure the shot isnttoo dark, so when the filter is applied it doesnt differentiate the colours andthe majority becomes black. I will also try framing the shots so the singer/band are always the focus point.Location of shoot I want to take photos that would be suitable for NMEso I will research how they make bands or singers lookin photos and take inspiration from that. I will also lookat the location they were taken and use some of thesame ideas for my shots to achieve a NME look.
