Krystina Naylor Christopher Brooke 11th August - 1st September These two extremely talented young artists have been selected for the launch of Tarpey Gallery's Annual 'Platform' exhibition which looks to promote outstanding recent graduates from the East Midlands region. Krystina Naylor graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2011 and was chosen for Saatchi New Sensations 4 months later. Her work and practice are informed by surface deception, mim- icry and camouflage, trompe l’oeil and idyllic viewpoints / dimensions and fragmenting figurative objects. Christopher Brooke is currently studying for his MA in Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art. The body of work he is exhibiting suggests a uniform position and placement of objects. The Objects are based on measurement and positioning, and are positioned / fused together to form a whole or unity. The exhibition is curated by Tarpey Gallery's Development and Gallery Assistant Alice Thickett, who also graduated from Nottingham Trent Fine Art in 2010 and runs her own project group called No Official Name. Krystina Naylor graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2011 and was chosen for Saatchi New Sensations 4 months later. Her work and practice are informed by surface deception, mim­icry and camouflage, trompe l’oeil and idyllic viewpoints / dimensions and fragmenting figurative objects.
