Target Field Trip GrantGrant Writing Workshop
WHY?
It has become increasingly difficult for schools to fund learning opportunities outside of the classroom. To help them out, Target launched Field Trip Grants in 2007. As part of the program, Target stores award Field Trip Grants to K-12 schools nationwide. Each grant is valued up to $700. Grant applications are accepted between noon (CST) August 1 and noon (CST) September 30.
WHAT?
This workshop will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about Target’s field trip grants. Participants may elect to listen and observe or submit a grant they have written during the workshop after the workshop has concluded. Participants will also be made aware of BOCES Co-Ser services that may work to offer a return on the grant money they obtain in subsequent years should they be awarded a field trip grant.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Education professionals who are at least 18 years old and employed by an accredited K-12 public, private or charter school in the United States that maintains a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status are eligible to apply. Educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals or classified staff of these institutions must be willing to plan and execute a field trip that will provide a demonstrable learning experience for students.
