Disturbia’s genre is a thriller with sub categories of drama and mystery. The certificate it has been given is a 15. this means that it is not suitable for anyone under this age. Disturbia has been given this certificate due to its use of strong violence for example murder, though it does not dwell on inflicted pain or injury as this would most likely be under the certificate of 18. Another reason that this film falls under 15 is that it contains a lot of threat and menace to purposely scare people. Some mild sexual activity is also portrayed in this film though no graphic detail.

The target audience for this film would be mainly teenagers,boys and girls between the ages of 15-23. This is because the film contains things that teens can relate to, also the main characters in the film are teenagers.

Seven is a thriller with sub genres of crime and mystery. The certificate it has been given is an 18, this is due to its use of graphic violence throughout the film, portrayed In both physical and sexual ways. There is also use of strong language, for example f*** is used over 70 times during this film. There are long periods of violence and very explicit horrific nature.

Primarily the target age for this audience is middle ages, partly because the film is rated 18 but also because of most the actors played in the movie are played by adults who have a job and a family, the fact that this film has used iconic actors such as Morgan Freeman and Brad Bitt will mean that a lot of the viewers of this film will be fans.

• Thrillers are all about creating thrill, suspence and keeping the audience at the edge of their seat. The typical audience response that would be generated throughout a thriller would be terror, anxiousness etc..

14 yearsMy film is called 14 years and is a thriller with a sub category of crime and mystery. The target audience for my film is 15-35 year olds men and women. Woman who like thrillers is also a good target for my film as 14 years presents a strong woman fighting for her daughter as the main character, as appose to a man,which is the typical main character of a thirller. This allows women, especially with a family to be able to relate to my film.

The certificate for my film would most likely be a 15 as there is a reasonable amount of violence but there will be nothing too graphic and strong language will be kept to a bare minimum, the reason for this is because I want people of the ages of 15 and above to be able to view my film.
