WHAT I LEARNED FROM MY

TARGET AUDIENCE PROFILES.

Profiles like the on the previous page really aided me when producing my magazine because it told me what kind of tastes they have, the how they spend their time etc while helped me base my articles and the clothing etc that was feature inside. I learned that the most popular brands amongst my target audience were Mac, Top shop and Lush and therefore the products that I used were based around this. I also learned that they like to go out and get dressed up and as north girls I assumed that this was going out with the girls etc and decided to focus a page on all things glittery because I believed that this would appeal to them. I carried the on the go girls theme with my makeup page which was dedicated to long last makeup that had good effects that lasted all day. As a result, my end products featured articles and features that would appeal and my website expanded on this appealing to their other ways of spending free time such as makeup tutorials, celebrity obsessions etc.

Feedback from people in my target audience was gathered not only pre production but during the actual building and designing of the products. Peer feedback helped me keep my style based and as my target profiles are friends of mine I was constantly sending them images of what I had done and asking their opinions. They informed me if a colour looked misplaced, if a product should be moved and if things were looking un-appealing. They helped me with what comments should be made under the products which helped make the whole tenor of my magazine most suitable.

After finishing my products I interviewed one of my target audience profiles, Beth Hepple, to ask what she thought of my final product. The interview taught me that my product is suitable which gives me confidence to know that my research and constant asking for feedback etc helped product an appealing product. One negative comment that was made was that my price of three pound was considered to be too high, I did conduct research on this and was told that the price was reasonable for a months magazine but I am aware that with my target consumers being students or apprentices I should have provided them with a bargain price.

WOULD THEY READ THE MAGAZINE?

“I absolutely love it, the cover is so fun it instantly makes me want to read it!! And you’ve mentioned my favorite little boutique Bella's how cool. I would 100% read

this magazine and can’t wait to get my monthly edition when its released.”

“Yes I would read this magazine, it reminds me of Company but aimed more at us northern Girls. I love that you’ve mentioned Newcastle and Sunderland because not many fashion

Magazines ever recognize anyone not from London hahaha. The makeup page has made me Want to go shopping and the website is definitely going to be my new favorite pass time.”
