Choice and Reason ! For my magazine I have chosen the Genre of Pop. The word “Pop” has originally come from the word “popular” which helps us to understand that Pop music is probably the one
of the most well known genre of music, and is listened to all around the world by many different cultures and ages.
However, within my form group of youths ranging from ages 13-17, I asked them all which music genre they preferred.
The boys said that their preferred music genre was Alternative music, but yet again the girls said that they liked pop music because it was 'fun' and 'catchy,' further reiterating my choice of gender and age for my primary
audience.
Why Teenagers !?
A teenager is someone who's age falls between the range of thirteen and nineteen (13-19). Nowadays teenagers are vastly becoming a topic of
discussion because of the changing lifestyle and habits that on a large scale bring about a drastic change in the world and its thinking.
If compared, the lifestyle of a teenager now and a lifestyle of a teenager 50 years ago are very different from one another. Although studies, hobbies and sports are still prior in the young generation today, but along with all
this we see that teenagers may get involved in other activities that in previous times were not so popular.
Teenagers are fit for all sorts of music and music magazines due
to their adaptability powers.
Girls Lifestyle !
Then. Now.
Girls from ordinary families received minimal education. They clung to their mothers,
who taught them how to manage a household, and the
basics of right living. In the higher strata girls also learned
to sing, dance and play musical instruments. Few of them learnt to write, as the rarity of their signatures on
documents of the later periods reveal.
Modern Girls are completely independent, both financially and emotionally. They would work service industry styled
jobs and live on their own, not dependent on family. The
hobbies now a days are far different from what they used
to be. And some might not even take up extracurricular as life in the modern world is
very hectic and busy. This trend is spreading vastly all
around the world.
