• What is technical middle class?

• A small, distinctive new class group which is prosperous but scores low for social and cultural capital. Distinguished by its social isolation and cultural apathy.

READER’S TASTES

Music: They listen to DJ house music and rave music you would mostly hear in night clubs and bars where you could have a good dance. E.g. Calvin Harris.

Fashion: They like to dress casual wearing tops with big logos and looking the usual teenager on a night out. Also tops and clothes with designer label. E.g. Topman and River Island.

Leisure

Activities: They

would take part in

a sports to stay in

good shape and

look good on the

night out or go to

the gym to make

them look big.
