Tanzania is a one party dominant state with the Chama

Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party in power.

The CCM holds approximately 75 percent of the seats in

the assembly

The parliament of Tanzania consists of two parts: the

president and the National Assembly

The president appoints a prime minister,

30% seats are reserved for women in national assembly

Tanzania is divided into thirty regions (mkoa)-- twenty-

five on the mainland and five in Zanzibar.
