Synopsis ‘Divine Radha’

‘DIVINE RADHA’ is a story of a dancer called Tanwi.

She is very passionate about her dance and does

various styles on old Bollywood film songs.

There is a small clash between her and a priest,

who is equally passionately devoted to his Gods.

He prays the same way she dances.

The priest is writing a book called ‘DIVINE RADHA’,

which is a book on the sacred love story of Radha

and Lord Krishna, now through this book, Tanwi may

or may not be on a journey of self discovery. You will

find out throughout the duration of this grand

‘Lord Krishna promised Radha, that this Holi, the Festival of colors, he will color her at the first ray of sun! He fulfills his promise and this makes Radha extremely happy. Both of them are playing Holi with each other and are having lots of fun!’

Trees and flowers are witness, and so are wind and all four directions.The ground, the sky, birds, nature and rainy clouds, all are witness to Radha and Krishna playing Holi.

Its amazing how they are playing Holi non-stop. Without any friends, Radha & Krishna are playing Holi, but yet it seems like all of Brajdham is playing Holi.


Laal hare neele peele sab Rangon ke badal hai machalte Dekha pehli baar hawa ko Rang birange Roop badalte Red, green, blue, yellow, all these colors are in the sky as colorful clouds, for the first time, one can see the wind changing colors as Radha & Krishna play.

Both are covered in the colors of love. Their pure hearts are playing Holi. Without any friends, Radha & Krishnaare playing Holi.

Nonstop colorful water is flowing from Krishna’s water canon (Pichkari) and it just wont stop, neither does the colors from Radha’s hand stop from covering the sky.

Neither Krishna is stopping from playing, neither is Radha, the entire universe is playing Holi within them.

Mother Yashoda, was the mother of Lord Krishna, here she is singing lullaby to Baby Krishna, so that he falls asleep at that is a custom of life, she doesn’t want him to sleep, because she loves her darling son a lot and feels very lonely without him, he needs to sleep, and she is putting him to sleep, although she wants him to be up so that Mother Yashoda can play with Baby Krishna.

Bhawre Song ‘Early morning, young and innocent Radha, is going to the River bank of Yamuna, so that she can fill in the pots with fresh water from River Yamuna. On her way back home, she encounters a bee, he is following Radha, at first she politely requests the bee to let her go, but the bee is stubborn and doesn’t let her be! She gets irritated and now with a little forces asks him to go so that she can go back home in time. The bee is reluctant to go, and Radha is now angry! She finally gets rid of the bee, and is back on her way home where suddenly that cheeky bee comes back, now they are face to face and Radha cant do anything about it, and the bee sits on her red lips. Only to find out, that the bee is actually Lord Krishna himself, disguised as a bee!

She spent a few seconds with closed eyelids, and the water flowed out of the pots when she met her beloved then she got to know, the one who’s name is written in each breathe she takes, It is him Ghanshyam (Krishna) in the form of a bee!

Maharaas lyricsMaharaas is the sacred dance of Radha and Krishna celebrating their divine love. In this song, the friends, or rather the Gopi’s are looking for Radha and Krishna as they were all going to dance the Maharaas together, here the Gopi’s are describing how beautiful Radha is and how mesmerizing Krishna is.

Bhushan Lakandri

Mr. Bhushan Lakhandri, who has written, directed and choreographed the dance, says in this musical ballet we have combined different dance styles. “Usually, we perform in one style — Bharatanatyam. kathak or Mohiniyattam. However, Tanwi our main artist will maintain the true essence of the dance. The organizer’s are sure that it will be a true treat for aficionados of different dance.

Tanwi Gouri Mehta

Tanwi Gouri Mehta, born and raised in the Netherlands, shifted at the age of 15 to India. She did her futher education at Kasiga (Dehradoon) and later at Bhavans College (Mumbai). From an early age she showed keen interest in acting, dancing and live performance. Thus focusing on developing the neccesary skills to become an artist, she came to mumbai to fulfil her dream of becoming a dancer and actress.Her first film debut was in the movie ‘Anjane the unknown’ (Bollywood Cinema) with Manisha Koirala, Sanjay Kapoor and Helen, after that she got a chance to work in the movie ‘Madhayanvarg’ (Marathi Cinema) where she got a lot of appreciation.
