Happy Fall! Every year schools around the state of Florida write a Student Performance Plan. Plew has written their SPP, a road map of the year with academic focuses defined for Reading, Writing, Science and Math. Our SPP can be found in the entirety on our web page starting in the middle of October. A few goals addressed: ELA Focus 1: Keeping Balanced Literacy in mind, teachers will use the ELA Foundational Standards and data to create lessons. Grades 3-5 will use the ELA stand- ards, Item Specifications, Achievement Level Descriptors and data to create lessons. ELA Focus 2: Writing: Teaching how Analysis and Synthesis lead to Elaboration Math Focus: Use OCSD M3 Standards-based planning document to create student- centered lessons. Science Focus: Use Standards and Item Specifications to design interactive, engaging whole group, cooperative group and station learning opportunities that place a strong focus on student to student interaction. Thanks for your support, ~Tammy Matz, Principal We are so excited that our Plew students are participating in various service projects for the 2019-2020 school year. We will be providing you with updates on Plews Facebook page. ~ Laura King, Assistant Principal
