HIV/WIDOW SUPPORT

When Crispin Mugarula was at the age of 7, he suddenly became an orphan. Forced to live on the streets for more than 5 years. Together with his little sister. Luckily for them, somebody took careand provided a home, food and education. Years later, when Crispin received his Masters-degree, he was ready for a decent career in business. However, he decided otherwise and to dedicate his full professional life to help others. So, in 2007 he founded The TAMIHA FOUNDATION.

STREETWISE A lot has changed since then. Over the last years, the foundation has grown into a proper organization. Running dif ferent support-projects. First of all the orphanage home in Leganga, where 35 orphans founded a new life. Also there is the orphanage daycare. And at the ST.VIVIAN pre-and primary Engl ish Medium School , 350 children get education. Their key for the future.

HELPING HIV INFECTED WOMEN / WIDOWSThe TAMIHA Foundation also takes great care for women/widows who are infected by HIV. As they struggle with the disease, l itt le income and stigma. Trough a special support-program, we constantly monitor 41 women on their well being and provide them with food + assistance.

The women who are strong enough, we encourage to get back into society and become more self dependant. We help these women with training and micro-f inance to start-up a business.
