Illinge High School’s Mtric pass rate dropped below their 90 percent target, but they managed to outdo all the other schools in Vosloorus in 2014. The school‘s deputy principal Rebecca Mohlala applauded the good work done by the teachers and stakeholders across the board. “Our initial target for 2014 was a 90 percent pass rate but we achieved 74,19 percent. We are concerned about the decline as in 2013 we obtained an 80 percent matric pass rate,” said Mohlala. She said during p r e l i m i n a r y examinations their school learners obtained a 66 percent pass rate but during the final examination they rose above the odds and obtained 74,19 percent. Mohlala said the s t u d y camp, extra classes and w e e k e n d c l a s s e s h e l p e d a lot in

obtaining good results. “Our target is not to fall below 74 percent this year but move up further. We will have extra classes for supplementary learners. Our teachers will provide extra classes, especially for subjects including Maths, Physical Science, Economics and Accounting. We are going to outsource external expertise in some of the difficult subjects,” explained Mohlala. The school obtained 25 bachelor passes, 40 diploma passes and 41 higher certificates. In total, 155 learners wrote Matric and 106 passed. Only 36 learners will write supplementary examinations in March. “Our message to the learners who passed is that they should go out and pursue the careers of their choice. Learners who did not succeed should remember that failure is not the end of the world. They s h o u l d consider pursuing the career of

their choice at Further Education Training institutions (FETs),” concluded Mohlala.

Lethulwazi Comprehensive School is one of the secondary schools in Vosloorus with a reputation of obtaining a good Matric pass rate; however, they experienced a dismal drop in 2014 compared to previous years. The school obtained a 57% pass rate last year compared to 79% in 2013. It had 76 bachelor passes, 57 diploma passes and 38 higher certificates; out of the 307 learners who wrote Matric last year, only 171 passed while 136 failed. A total of 94 learners qualifed for the supplementary examinations.Despite the school Matric pass rate drop, Ndamulelo Jerry Mudau (18) managed to fly the school flag high by obtaining six distinctions with 100% in mathematics, physical science and engineering graphics and design. He will be pursuing a career in mechanical engineering at either the University of Cape Town or Wits. Speaking to tame TIMES, Mudau said, “I am very excited and l always expected this because they I a lot of support with revision from Karabo Centre for mathematics.”Fikile Mphahlele, an educator at Lethulwazi Comprehensive School said, “Learners, educators and parents lacked commitment last year - hence the drop in the Matric results. It is an eye opener that reminds us that we need to put extra effort.”

SEX PROBLEMS DESTROYED ALL MY RELATIONSHIPSAn experience by; Mr JH. Kelly

Family Problems Health Problems & Many More...Financial Problems Love Relationships Work Crisis

6-years back before I met Akeem, I had gone through 8-different relationships that never lasted long. All the girlfriends I had used to laugh at me and separated from me because I had a very small manhood and very weak erections. But after I used different sex boosters from the pharmacy that all never worked, I became shy and lost interest in girlfriends. Finally I lost hope of being a real man.

Luckily I met an old friend of mine, who is 68 years old and had been helped byAkeem with a similar problem like mine, he then referred me to him. I bought Akeem’s sex booster and within 7-days, my manhood had grown bigger, stronger & long up to the right size I always wanted. My erections also became very strong; I was shocked! Because for many years I had wasted money trying to fix this problem but got no results, till I met Akeem. Today am a very happy man and I highly recommend Akeem to those experiencing a similar problem like I was before and are disappointed with other weak sex products. Remember size matters; Make your partner happy, let her notget into a secret love affair with another man to satisfy her sexual desires.

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea on Saturday is dominated by foreign coaches. This situation has raised concerns about the direction that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is taking in developing football and local coaches on the continent. While the beautiful game’s pundits are continuing to preach about the African football renaissance or the development of footballers, most of the CAF affiliate associations snub domestic coaches and prefer to employ foreign coaches to lead their respective senior national teams. In the Equatorial Guinea Afcon 2015 there will only be three African born coaches leading national soccer teams. They include: the Democratic Republic of Congo team, which will be led by Florent Lebenge who was born in Kinshasa DRC; the Zambian national team, which is coached by Zambian born Honour Janza and the South African team, which is led by the industrious Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba. The other 13 countries taking part in the Afcon 2015 tournament will be led by foreign coaches. So, it is ironic that CAF has the ambition to see an African team lift the World Cup trophy in the near future. That seems to be a far-fetched dream, as most of the continent’s football governing associations have little faith in their own home-grown coaches. Africa is optimistic that the three African born coaches will prove the other countries wrong by winning the AFCON. This would make history and remind CAF and its affiliates that African coaches are

equally skilled, and competent enough to rub shoulders with the best coaches in the world.

OUR AFRICAN COACH: Soweto born Coach Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba will lead Bafana Bafana in Afcon 2015.
