Day 2 Introduction 8:15 AM

• Overview of Day 2 agenda • Share thoughts on Day 1 and what is needed for Day 2

Developing Improvements: National Organizations and Collaboration Across Agencies 8:30 AM

Conduct a small group exercise to identify and prioritize areas of improvement for national organizations. The groups will be organized into the following six topics.

• Committee operations • Coordination and collaboration • Research management A • Research management B • Research management C • Research management D

Developing Improvements to Increase Maturity 10:15 AM

• Fishbowl format will generate intimate dialogue in a larger group by having just 3-4 people talk at any one time

• The speakers are seated in the front of the room while the rest of the participants sit at their tables and observe without interrupting

• Once a speaker is done making his/her point, they move out of the fishbowl and another participant becomes a speaker

• Participants will share views on what we need to do to move the needle in our national maturity for the topics polled on Thursday

• Prioritize improvement ideas

Action Planning Session 1:00 PM

• World Cafe format will be used to generate actions for the topics • The following are the topic tables

- Topic 1: TAM Strategy and Planning - Topic 2: Maximizing the Performance of Transportation Assets - Topic 3: Resource Allocation - Topic 4: Monitoring and Adjustment - Topic 5: Information and Systems - Topic 6: Organization and People - Topic 7: National Organizations

• Four rounds of discussions for groups of 6 to 7 seated at a table • Assignment at each round is to generate action ideas - building on the work

of previous rounds - At the end of each round, each table will select the top three actions

• Present a summary of priority actions from each topic table.

• Generate as many statements as time allows. Statements will include: - Title, Purpose, Key Objectives, Lead Entity, Involved Parties, Specific
