Time for talking and catching up with friends and family is something that we all look forward to at Christmas time, but this year we are going to need to do things a little differently. Our Talking Tree baubles are here to help! Print out a bauble for each child (and adult) in the class to cut out and decorate. Before finishing the bauble, each person needs to write a Talking Tree task on a slip of paper to fold up and put inside the bauble. The task needs to encourage talking with family or friends; it could be 'have a phone/video call with someone you haven't spoken to for a while' or 'tell one of your friends why you like them so much'. Once the slip of paper is inside, fold and glue the tabs to make the bauble and add some string so that you can hang it up. Hang all of the baubles up in the classroom, on a class tree or Christmas display board. On the last day of term, all of the children in the class (and the adults) pick a different bauble to take home and hang on your tree. Open up the bauble over the Christmas holiday and see what your Talking Tree task is!
