C’est la maison de qui?To tell that something belongs to someone, you

can use “de” = of, or a possessive pronoun (Ex = mon, ma, mes).

C’est la chambre de Caroline = It is Caroline’s room. (The French NEVER use ‘s to show possession).

ton, ta, tes = your votre, vos = your

son, sa, ses = his/her leur, leurs =

their

Ex = C’est sa chambre. = It is his (or her) room.

To tell where things are, you are going to need to know prepositions (in front of, next to, behind, to the right of...)

Many of these end with the word de (of) in French.

When de is followed by le, la, l’ or les, it forms a contraction.

Ex: La maison blanche

There are some adjectives that come before the noun they describe. We categorize these as BAGS adjectives.
