Interviewer Security
A scheduler/interviewer has access to schedule and conduct interviews. The To-Be-Scheduled Interviews
table will contain all interview files that have not yet been assigned or scheduled. The Interviews Assigned to
Talent Plus Groups table will contain those interviews that have been outsourced to Talent Plus.
The scheduler/interviewer can also create interviews through the Shortcuts Menu and schedule interviews
to themselves or other interviewers. The scheduler/interviewer will have access to edit an interview based
on the number of days determined by the organization. Once a scheduler/interviewer is past the edit
duration, they will only have access to interviewee contact information.

The Interview
The Interview – The Basics
A. Question Navigator - The
Question Navigator allows you to
jump quickly from question to
question using an easy preview
phrase. You may expand or
collapse sections of the navigator
using the (+) or (-) symbols. All
questions that have a question
mark icon beside them have not been answered. Once the question has been coded, the icon will
change to a plus or a zero.
B. Question Preview Window - Allows you to see the entire text of the next question. You may select
this text to advance to the next question.
C. Question and Conceptual Match Box - Contains the question text and the correct conceptual
match for the question.
D. Code+ Icons - Quickly capture common notes and flags to the content notes of the interview.
E. My Code Notes - Allows the user to add their own personalized conceptual match notes to the
interview. These notes are not specific to the interviewee but act as reminders for the individual
conducting a specific interview.
F. Content Notes - Allows the user to add notes specific to the current interviewee.
G. Qualifier, Cutoff and Theme Calculator - Running total of qualifier, cutoff and theme scores for the
current interview.
H. Scoring Buttons - Use to make a “+” or “0” for the interviewee’s response to an item.
I. Navigation Buttons - Allows you to easily navigate backward or forward through the interview. The
Clear button will reset the scoring buttons for an item.
J. Percent Completed - This allows you to see what percent of the interview has been completed.

Conducting an Interview
Required Questions Within Setup
Four questions are required to be
answered in an interview before the
interview can be submitted as complete:
1) Structured Interview
2) Trained on Selection
3) Begin Structured Interview
Coding
If a question has multiple items, both “plus”(+) scoring buttons need
to be selected to code a (+). If you do not select both (+) buttons, you
will receive an error message. This helps to ensure that no questions
are missed.
Save and Exit Button
Select the Save and Exit button to exit an interview before it is complete.
Restart an Incomplete Interview
These interviews will be listed on the home page, within the My Incomplete (or Needing Further Analysis)
Interviews section. Select the
“paper and pencil” icon in the
last column to edit or continue
the interview.
Quick Conduct
1) Select the Quick Conduct button below the “Question Navigator.”
2) You will be asked to enter the Offline Details, which include the actual date of the interview and the
original interviewer/analyst.
3) Be sure to answer the Ever Trained on Interview and Ever Gone Through a Structured Interview
questions. If the analyst’s name is not located in the drop-down menu, please call the Talent Plus
Solution CenterSM at 1.800.231.5110 for assistance.

4) When you come to the first interview question, you may begin
coding. Then, by using the Tab and Enter keys on your keyboard,
you are able to move easily through each question, making the
interview faster to code.
Qualifier and Cutoff Score Interview Alerts
The Qualifier and Cutoff scores are minimum scores required in order for a candidate to be considered for a
recommended status on the interview. When interviewing multiple external candidates for a position, one
may save time by using the Qualifier and Cutoff scores in an interview to help prioritize candidates for
further selection. The most likely use of the Qualifier and Cutoff score is to quickly identify candidates who
are obviously poorly qualified for the position.
The Qualifier and Cutoff scores will be determined at the creation of an interview and
benchmark during the validation process. If an interview and benchmark contains a
Qualifier and Cutoff, they will automatically populate in TalentBank and will be displayed
at the top of the Theme Calculator while conducting an interview. Please remember that
the Qualifier and Cutoff scores are only available for external applicants and will not be
available when conducting internal or profile interviews.
If the external applicant does not meet the Qualifier score, an alert
message will be displayed. Important: If there are questions that have
not yet been coded (Re-listen/Re-code or Come Back), these will be
displayed on the alert page. This information is a reminder because if
any of these questions are coded a (+), the Qualifier and Cutoff score
will be impacted. Please keep this information in mind when
determining to End Interview or Continue Interview. If the End Interview button is selected, the interviewer
will be taken directly to the End Call screen at the end of the interview.
The interview will display the final scores (Total, Qualifier and Cutoff) at the bottom of the summary table.
The scores in parenthesis display the Qualifier and Cutoff scores for the selected benchmark.

Come Back Button
The Come Back button allows the interviewer the ability to return to a question
once all the interview questions have been asked to give the interviewee another
opportunity to answer a question they originally chose to come back to. The
navigation buttons will then allow you to move either to the Next Question or to
the next Come Back question.
Re-listen / Re-code Button
The Re-listen/Re-code button allows the interviewer the ability to highlight
questions they wish to review or code once the interview is complete. Similar
to the Come Bank button, TalentBank will display all questions marked as Re-
Listen/Recode to the analyst once they end the interview with their
interviewee. The navigation buttons will then allow you to move either to the Next Question or to the next
Re-listen/Re-code question.
