economic deprivation. Majority of students entitled to Free School Meals

94% of students speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). Over 50 different languages are spoken by students

Why?Why?

In 2008 the use of the word ‘gay’ as a derogatory term was increasing

Students interviewed in PSHEE & Citizenship expressed homophobic views

A number of LGBT staff had joined the school and felt it was important to lead a piece of work on challenging homophobia and celebrating diversity
