T he Heber Unplugged Challenge was created to discourage sedentary lifestyles and exposure to media violence by promoting healthy (and fun!) activities. Asking kids to turn off their favorite video game or television show isn’t easy! So how in the world do you get kids to do it and do it willingly? Often times the best way to change behavior is to focus on the positive. Rather than making it all about what they shouldn’t be doing (watching TV, playing video games), instead focus on what they could be doing! This is where our Brag-Tag program and “101 Things to do in Heber Valley” list come into play. We’ve teamed up with businesses all over the community to sponsor Brag-Tags for certain events. Once you’ve completed an activity simple visit the sponsor business and get your tag. Keep track of all your Unplugged Brag-Tags by putting them on your very own Unplugged Lanyard. Don’t have a lanyard? Don’t worry, just stop by the Heber Valley Visitors Center (475 N Main) to pick one up. Each week during the summer we’ll pick a winner for weekly giveaways. Call or stop by the Visitors Center for more information: 435-654-3666 or 475 N Main, Heber City. Visit www.HeberUnplugged.com for full list of rules and Brag-Tag details. Be sure to check out the event calendar at www.GoHeberValley.com/Special-Events for event details. Get unplugged and enjoy all our valley has to offer! TAKE THE UNPLUGGED CHALLENGE! THANK YOU TO OUR MAJOR SPONSORS! Discouraging sedentary lifestyles and exposure to violence in media by promoting healthy activities through education and incentive programs.

The Heber Unplugged Challenge was created to discourage sedentary lifestyles and exposure

to media violence by promoting healthy (and fun!) activities.
