WHO IS THIS TEACHER?

• I HAVE BEEN TEACHING FOR 22 YEARS.

• I HAVE BEEN HERE @ BHS SINCE WE OPENED.

• BOTH MY DEGREES ARE FROM DEPAUL.

• I HAVE A FRESHMAN AND 6th GRADER AT HOME.

AVAILABILITY• BEFORE SCHOOL: MONDAYS,

WEDNESDAYS, AND FRIDAYS IN A356 (7:10-7:30) AND AFTER SCHOOL (3:00-3:30) ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS NO APPT NECESSARY

GRADES• Homework is really suggested extra practice. I

will check to see if it is being done for communication sake.

• 30% Formative assessments: quizzes, small labs , activities, and projects.

• 70% Summative assessments: tests, quizzes over many sections, cumulative labs and projects.

• Late work/Truancy: work will be accepted until the end of 2nd to last week of that marking period after a teacher am/pm is served. No point penalty.

Marks and Retakes

• When IC averages the marks, the grades are: A (3.21-4), B (2.41-3.2), C (1.61-2.4), D (.81-1.6), and E (.8 and below)

• I am not using SBG so there are no retakes of standards. At the end of each quarter, there is a quarter test. It will count and it can replace another test from that quarter .
