1.) C. repens ‘Tequila Sunrise’: Glossy, colorful variegated foliage offers interest year round! Brightly col-ored new growth is deep green with a gold margin, then becomes marbled with brilliant orange and gold hues. In the winter, the leaf color intensifies to vibrant orange and red jewel tones. Reaches 3.5’ x 3.5’ in size. Full to partial sun. Zones 9-10. 2.) C. repens ‘Taupata Gold’: The vibrant deep gold foliage with dark green centers brighten any area. Grows 4’ x 5’. Full sun to part shade. Zones 8-11. 3.) C. repens ‘Lemon Lime’: Its brightly variegated green and yellow leaves with a great glossy sheen are perfect in small pots or in a mass planting. Fall color is suffused with pink as cool nights set in. Reaches 3’ x 3’ in size. Full to partial sun. Zones 8-11. 4.) C. repens ‘Marble Queen’: This beautifully variegated variety has green leaves with bright white margins that are flecked with green. 1.) Philadelphus ‘Belle Etoile’: Single, pure white flowers, marked with maroon centers carry a long floweringperiod and are further enhanced by their lovely fragrance. They blossom along graceful arching branches fromsummer to fall. Green foliage. Drought tolerant once established. Grows 5-6’ in height and width. Full topartial sun. Zones 5-10. 2.) Cistus x hybridus ‘Mickie’: This variegated form of Cistus hybridus has a low, mounding habit that hugs the ground and creates a super colorful, evergreen colorspot. Charming white flow-ers punctuate the flashy foliage in May and June. Grows to 18” x 30” wide. Full sun. Zones 7-10. A Terra Nova variety. 3.) Polygala fruticosa ‘Petite Butterfly’: A great compact, rounded habit with a long bloom season makes this variety one not to miss! Gray-green foliage is accented by interesting bright purple blossoms year round and particularly from spring throughout summer. Grows 36” x 36”. Full to partial sun. Zones 9-10. 4.) Cistus x hybridus ‘McGuire’s Gold’: The first all gold leaf Cistus hybridus! ‘McGuire’s Gold’ has a low, mounding habit and is evergreen. Use to create contrast or as an accent in the sun garden. Charming white flowers dot the foliage in May and June. Foliage is lush and plant is naturally well branched. Drought resistant once established; a serious attention getter. Grows to 18” x 30”. 1.) Monardella macrantha: This California native is a creeping variety featuring large, vibrant red-orange tubular blossoms bundled in clusters, during the summer. Dark green leaves with purple margins. Grows to 6”, with a 24” spread. Part shade. Zones 7-10. 2.) Abutilon pictum thompsonii: Yellowand green speckled foliage highlights this free branching, compact plant. Pastel orange, bell-shaped flowersfurther accent the variegated foliage from spring until frost. Grows to 6-8’ by 3-4’. Full to partial sun. Zones 9-11. 3.) Hypericum moserianum ‘Tricolor’: This variegated variety offers year round interest withits dramatic green foliage edged in cream and pink! Bright yellow flowers appear during the summer.Grows to 12”-30” x 30-36”. Full to partial sun. Zones 6-9. 4.) 1.) Ceanothus ‘El Dorado’: Beautiful lime-yellow variegation provides a striking contrast to the clus-ters of tiny, medium blue flowers that appear in spring. An upright, evergreen shrub with increased vig-or over other variegated varieties, with foliage that does not burn in the heat. Slowly reaches 8 feet tall and wide at maturity. Drought-resistant. Full sun to part shade. Zones 8-10. A Plant Haven variety.2.) Salvia apiana: Highly aromatic, waxy silver foliage make this drought tolerant plant stand out in thegarden. Tiny insignificant white flowers that are dotted with lavender appear on the tall flower spikes inlate spring to early summer. Grows 3-4’ in height with flower stalks that can add another 2-5’, spreadof 5-8’. Full sun. Zones 7-11. 3.) 1.) Helichrysum series: All varieties produce interesting clusters of colorful buds that stand out against its neatmound of silvery, woolly foliage. Reaches 8-14” x 8-16”. Full sun. Zones 8-10. 1a.) H. ‘Amber Cluster’: Round,red buds that open to a paler pink, then change to a fiery orange yellow, and finally fade to yellow flowers inspring. 1b.) H. ‘Ember Glow’: Deep red buds age to a fiery orange, which open to stiff papery flowers in Mayand June. 1c.) H. ‘Pink Sapphire’: Cute pale-pink round buds form in late May to June.
