OVERVIEWThis course is for trade qualified and licensed light vehicle mechanics who wish to become an Authorised UnregisteredVehicle Inspection Scheme Examiner.

The course is open to light and heavy vehicle mechanics.

The Authorised AUVIS Examiner is responsible for inspection of unregistered light vehicles to ensure compliance withidentity, design and safety check standards. They carry out examination of light vehicles, motorcycles and light trailersand issue inspection certificates used for vehicle registration, defect clearance and other reasons.

a TfNSW (formally RMS/RTA) Approval for Training letter confirming EXAMINER under eligibility.■

This is a blended part time day course. You will need to attend approximately 8 hours of class, over 1 day. As well as thein-class component, you will need to complete approximately 16 hours of other study including online learning.

The AUVIS Examiner carries out inspection of unregistered light vehicles to ensure compliance with Safety Check,Identity Check and Design Check standards and issues inspection reports used by vehicle owners for registration andother purposes.
