achievements—the completion of the King Hall

expansion, the addition to the faculty of outstanding senior scholars from

UC Berkeley, UC Hastings, and the University of Arizona, a sitting of

the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in our new Kalmanovitz

Appellate Courtroom, and, last but not least, a rise to No. 23 in the nation

in the U.S. News & World Report rankings.

These things could not have happened without the dedication of our

to launch exciting new initiatives such as the California Environmental

Law & Policy Center, add much-needed scholarships, provide support

for student organizations, and bolster the Law School’s national and
