SET UP GUIDE

7 Wear a Helmet

Turn Power On8

Make sure to add air tothe tires before riding. Use thepump included with your Ve g oscooter to do this. Fasten thepump head to the air valve onthe scooter wheels. Your scooterrides best with 50 psi in thetires. You should use a tirepressure to check the exactpressure regularly. In order tohave a safe ride and abide byfederal law you must wear ahelmet every time you ride yourVego scooter. Please wear yourhelmet every time you ride!

Turn the scooter poweron using the key. The powergauge will illuminate indicat-ing the scooter power is on.Careful the scooter will startmoving once you twist thethrottle. All three lights will beon when the battery is full. Thegreen light will go out at 70%charge and the yellow light willgo out at 30% charge. Wa r n i n g :completely discharging the bat-tery significantly reduces itsusable life.

1. Plug your smart charger into a regular household outlet.Note: Your smart charger is equipped with a multivolt feature. This allows you to plug the charger into an outlet in a foreigncountry or any power source from 100 to 240volts AC.

2. Plug the charger into the charge port located on thefront of the scooter or if you wish remove the batteries forcharging you can plug the charger directly into the chargeport on the battery.

3. The light on the side of the charger will turn red indicat-ing that the battery is charging. The charger will automati-cally shut off and the light will turn green when the chargeis complete. Your scooter will be fully charged in 4-6 hours. Note: It will take 8-10 hours to charge the batteries the first fourcharges. This is part of the normal battery break-in period.

4. Recharge your scooter after every use. Leaving the bat-teries empty overnight allows the acid in the cells to eataway at components inside the batteries. Keeping the bat-teries full when not in use will ensure property batterylifetime.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

•Tires

•Belt

Item Inspection Instructions

• Every 30 days check the side-walls and tread for damage. Tireswill need replacement about once ayear. If your tires are gouged orthreadbare replace them immedi-ately.•Before each ride, squeeze thetires to make sure they are firm. Ifyou are not sure if there is enoughair pressure check with a pressuregauge. The tires should be inflatedto 50 psi. Tires lose about 10 psiper month.

•Every 30 days check the belt fortears. Clean gravel and small peb-bles out of the grooves in the rearsprocket. Replace the belt if youfind any tears more than 1/3 thewidth of the belt. It is not neces-sary to retension or lubricate thebelt because it will not stretch andwill break if over-tensioned oroiled. If you ride every day expectto change the belt once a year.

Below are tips to help keep your scooter running well. This schedule is calculated based on a 1 mile dailycommute ride.

•Once a year check the brakeshoes for wear. The brake systemis similar to that of a car andshould be serviced when the shoesare 90% worn out but before thedrum is damaged. The shoe lifedepends on rider weight and otherfactors and varies widely from afew months to a year or longer. Ifyour brakes start to make a grind-ing sound and you have riddenyour scooter very regularly replacethe shoes immediately.

•Before every ride, check thebrake cable for stretch by pullingthe brake lever back with moder-ate force. If the lever pulls back tothe handle grip easily adjust thebrake barrel on the brake lever. Ifyou can still easily pull the leverback please see govego.com forassistance in adjusting youbrakes.

•Check the wheels for cracks ifyou jump curbs or ride aggressive-ly. This type of hard riding causesexcessive of wear and tear on yourscooter and voids your warranty. Ifyou regularly jump down curbscheck your wheels for cracks everyride.

•Every 30 days check the foldingmechanism for looseness. If thereis over one inch of play at the han-dlebars, tighten the headset, steertube clamp and folding mecha-nism quick release.
