Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES) is an autonomous body, under the Department of Atomic Energy. [ A Governing Council (GC) which is constituted by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) comprising senior Administrative officers, scientists & engineers of DAE and Educationists governs the Education Society.]

Presently, 31 Atomic Energy Central Schools and Junior Colleges (AECS/JC) run by the are located at Mumbai and Tarapur in Maharashtra, Narora in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kakrapara in Gujarat, Hyderabad & Manuguru in Telangana. OSCOM in Orissa, Indore in Rawatbhata in Rajasthan, Anupuram, Kalpakkam and Kudankulam in Tamilnadu, Kaiga and Mysore in Karnataka & Jaduguda, Narwapahar and Turamdih in Jharkhand, Pazhayakayal in Tamilnadu.

GENERAL INFORMATION

RUNNING IN TANDEM WITH THE MISSION, VISION & VALUES enshrined in the AEES code, AEJC Anushaktinagar has achieved significant results in its sincere endeavours to achieve excellence in academics as well as co-curricular fields. The enrichment of libraries, computer aided education, improved sports facilities, multimedia programmes and enrichment programmes for students have helped the college notch-up new benchmarks in excellence. Renovation of Multipurpose hall and classrooms, installation of CCTV cameras - entire campus is under surveillance, foolproof Attendance Management System, introduction of two smart classrooms and up-gradation of laboratories have greatly contributed to the strengthening of the infrastructural facilities and safety alongside strong communication amongst the stakeholders in AEJC, Anushaktinagar.

The team of experienced teachers are committed to achieve milestones not only in Maharashtra Higher Secondary Board academic results bur also in several state and national level competitions organized by renowned institutions and agencies. COLLEGE & OFFICE TIMINGSThe College is open on all weekdays, between 07.55 hrs and 14.05 hrs, except Second Saturday of every month and Sundays, and other holidays as declared during the year by the Government. Parents are requested to visit the college office, if needed after 14.05 hrs.

[No fashion trends] Rain Footwear - Only permitted during monsoon - Black strap flat sandals/floaters available in local market. NO FLIP-FLOPS. EXEMPTION FROM 'WEARING SHOES' ONLY DURING MONSOON.Gold/fashionable ornaments, cicret bracelet, pebble steel, smart watch, cosmetics(bindi, kajal, mehndi) etc. are strictly prohibited in the campus.

Note : Also compulsory part of dress-code, post-pandemic, will include Mask alongside observing social distancing, frequent hand sanitizing, using soap dispensers installed in college and not touching any college equipment/objects etc. without prior and proper permission of teachers. GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS1) A student joining the college shall agree to abide by all the rules, regulations and

instructions that may be issued by the college authorities from time to time.

2) The students must behave in a proper way in college premises and should move in anorderly manner so that they do not disturb other fellow students in the laboratories or inthe corridors.

3) The students must not loiter or congregate in the college premises while the classes arein progress.

4) The students must take proper care of the college property and help in keeping the premisesneat and clean. Any damage done to the property of the college will have to be replaced bythe students/ group of students responsible for the act of lawlessness or indiscipline.

5) The students should, in their own interest, read the notices including those containingthe notifications/ rules/ guidelines issued by college/ M S Board from time to time. Allthe students must see the College Notice Board and visit the websitewww.aejcmumbai.ac.in and inform the parents about the events and schedules.

6) If the presence and continuance of any student is found to be detrimental to the bestinterests or discipline of the college, the Principal, AEJC shall direct such a student toleave the college. The decision of the college management on the expulsion of thestudent/group of undisciplined students shall be final and binding upon all.

7) Application forms for registration of students in M S Board examinations will not beforwarded if they fail to secure minimum 75% of college attendance. The same rule isapplicable for class XI Annual examination too.

8) College term fees has to be paid on-line.

The college has set a list of rules, regulations and code of ethics which every student has to strictly abide by. Failure to do so shall attract disciplinary action against such students by the college authority.1) Students must carry (and visibly display) their Identity Card, college calendar as well as

The Health and Physical Education [HPE] is one of the compulsory subjects for the students Classes 11thand 12thof Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune irrespective of the stream opted for.

Policy on assessment & evaluation of Health and Physical Education is subject to the updates by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune from time to time.

The Practical and Theory Examinations are conducted twice in an academic year i.e. Half Yearly in Sep / Oct and Annual in February. The weightage will be calculated for 25 Marks each for both the Practical and Theory in Half Yearly and Annual Examinations.

It is mandatory for the students to appear and pass in Health and Physical Education, failing which a student will not be promoted to the higher class.

The dates for the practical and theory examinations are informed to the students through Students Notice Board.

No re-examination / re-test either for Practical or Theory will be conducted. Students seeking for re- test on Medical Ground are required to submit / produce Medical Certificate from the CHSS dispensary in case of DAE wards and from a Government Hospital for Non CHSS beneficiaries.

IDENTITY CARDS :Radio Frequency Identity Cards [RFIDs] are issued to students for each academic year. College has Biometric & RFID Student Attendance Management System. A student must visibly display the identity card when in the college premises. It is an important identity document that must be preserved carefully and safely. If must be returned to the college at end of the session. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES : Will be implemented when college resumes after lock-down. In line with prior recognition and appreciation of inherent / unique talents of students, college provides platform to cover most of their coordination skills and creative facets of personalities through a wide range of CCA and sports. Every student must participate in one or more of the prescribed activities. Schedule will be given shortly. A list of 9 on-line CCA events have been designed till the on-line classes continue during lock-down period.

PROMOTION from FYJC (Class XI) to SYJC (Class XII)As per the MS Board Guidelines: Tentative mechanism of assessment during lock-down period in point number 2 below is continuing.

1. Every student should fulfill the criteria of attendance i.e. minimum attendance of 75% iscompulsory in each term. Only on medical grounds, 60% of attendance is allowed in eachterm with valid medical certificate subject to the condition of approval from HSC Board.

2. Mechanism of assessment during lock-down period: Assignments, Projects, Mixed bagtests [MCQs & Subjective] through on-line mode till the instructions/guidelines are receivedfrom AEES/MS Board. It is mandatory for the students to join periodic assessment process

3. A student must secure at least a minimum of 35% marks in all the subjects (compulsory andoptional subjects.

4. The total marks in each subject will be total of theory+ practical /orals.5. The performance of a student will be based on the marks obtained by him/her in all the

examinations.6. Weight-age of marks is given below:

a) Unit test I & II of 25 marks eachb) First term exam=50 marksc) Second term exam=100 marks (Theory+Practical/orals)

7. Final marks will be decided on the basis of total marks obtained in all the exams as under[(UT-I+UY-II) + Term-1 + Term-II]/2.

8. There will be no re-exam, if any student remains absent for Unit tests.9. Re-exam will be held for a student if he/she is absent on medical grounds or due to his/her

selection & participation in Games/Sports/CCA with prior permission from the competentauthority in AEJC. Medical certificate from recognized medical practitioner, preferably BARCHospital for the wards of DAE employees-CHSS beneficiaries, must be submitted to the ClassTeacher before taking their re-test.

10. Maharashtra Board allows students, who fail in Std. XI, to appear as private examinees byinstructing them to fill on-line FORM-17 in the next academic session.
