Background
The Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) wishes to source service providers who can conduct training to its members and other third parties. We therefore request and invite training providers who can render this service to apply.
The applicant should provide relevant and current training programmes which will help enhance and benefit the knowledge and skills of our risk management community.
The Criteria includes the following:
The Service Provider and the facilitators under the should be a Member of the Institute. The Service Provider should be suitably qualified and experienced in the subjects for which they
apply. The Service Provider should have a proven track record and provide proof thereof. The Service Provider must meet and comply with the IRMSA Endorsement Policy and application
Criteria. The service Provider should be amenable to making a presentation to the evaluation panel.
The applicant/facilitator to ensure that each IRMSA training covers the following areas:
Business in context. Key theories or principles. Critical thinking. Future skills requirements for risk managers. The IRMSA Guideline to Risk Management. Makes appropriate link(s) to the IRMSA Qualification curriculum. Application to workplace and practical examples.
1. Obligations of the Service Provider
1.1 render the Services timeously, professionally, with due skill and proper care, maintaining the highest professional standard at all times;
1.2 perform the Services at IRMSA’s premises or other locations as agreed to between the Parties or produce content for eLearning
1.3 while on IRMSA’s premises, comply with IRMSA’s rules, regulations and requirements regarding its orderly and efficient functions and to such standard of health, safety and security measures as may reasonably be required by IRMSA;
1.4 accept only such other assignments as will not impede his ability or conflict with his obligation to render the Services within the specified time period;
1.5 refrain from taking (or omitting to take) any action which may prejudice or be adverse to the business interests of IRMSA;
1.6 be solely responsible for the administration of its own business affairs;
1.7 comply with all laws, by-laws and regulations, and to obtain whatever permits and licenses necessary to fulfill its obligations in terms hereof;
1.8 Comply with all reasonable requests and instructions of IRMSA provided that such requests and/or instructions relate to or are incidental to the rendering of the Services.
1.9 Facilitators will be required to be members of IRMSA. Should your application be successful, the first year of membership will be complimentary but the facilitator will have to adhere to the membership rules and regulations including upholding the Code of Conduct rules. If the facilitator is already a member, they need to ensure that they are in good standing.
2. Obligations of IRMSA
1 provide suitably equipped training facilities that will accommodate the number of learners participating in the course or provide a digital platform as It pertains to digital learning
2 co-operate with the Service Provider as envisaged in this Agreement or in circumstances where the Service Provider so requests

4. Developing Training Material
In developing the training material, the Service Provider must ensure that the training material –
is customized to ensure that it meets IRMSA’s requirements will achieve IRMSA’s training objective identified through the needs analysis is relevant for IRMSA’s purposes will address IRMSA’s particular business, environment, industry and specific requirements of the
Learners is structured to meet the needs of the Learners
In addition to the above: eLearning:
Is aligned to eLearning design principles (applicable for those providers proposing for eLearning) Intellectual Property of the training material will be shared with IRMSA and the service provider
5. Implementation
The Service Provider must ensure that the Course Facilitators –
are knowledgeable, professional and are properly trained, qualified and experienced present themselves at the training venue at least 30 minutes before the training commences present the material in a manner that –
- links the course material to IRMSA’s business- provide practical examples to enhance learner knowledge assimilation- present content that is appropriate for the audience and- achieve the training objectives of IRMSA
The Service Provider to ensure that the Course Facilitator covers the following areas for each IRMSA training:
Business in context. Key theories or principles. Critical thinking. The IRMSA Guideline to Risk Management. Makes appropriate link(s) to the IRMSA Qualification curriculum. Application to workplace and practical examples.

7. Fees
Please advise what you charge per facilitator per day with an outline of what is included and excluded in your fee.
IRMSA, being a non-profit organisation, strives to provide a world class product at affordable rates for their members. We therefore work off a baseline rate which our vendors will be able to accommodate.
8. Submission Method
All submissions must be received by the Institute by 12 August 2020

PLEASE NOTE: For 2020 applications, we will only accept electronic submissions.
9. General
IRMSA reserves the right to cancel scheduled training for whatever reason. Cancellations may be as a result of insufficient delegates registering for that course or if the initial training was not well received. Please note that the presenter fee will not be paid in this case. IRMSA will not be held liable for any costs incurred in connection with such costs.
