Meet Your

Cast Cameron Lucente (Albert Peterson) is a senior here at IHS and is beyond thrilled to be Albert Peterson

in ITS’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. Cameron has previously starred as a munchkin/ozian in The Wiz-

ard of Oz as a sophomore, and as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast as a junior. He has been fortunate

to be a part of such a welcoming program. The friends he has made here will last a lifetime, and he has

enjoyed every last minute of it. He’d like to thank his parents for always supporting him, and his friends

for always being there. Cameron hopes you will enjoy the show!

Morgan Oliver is a senior this year and is beyond excited to be playing the role of Rosie. This is her first

lead role at this school and taking it on has been an amazing experience. She has been in the IHS theatre

program since sophomore year, and most recently was seen in the spring production Father of the Bride

as Miss Bellamy. She has grown so much doing everything from costume crew to the One Acts to musi-

cals and hopes to continue with her passion for musical theatre in college.

Allison Huber (Kim MacAfee) is a senior at IHS. She is so excited to be a part of Bye Bye Birdie. Some of her previous roles at IHS include: a jitterbug/tree/poppie/women chorus (The Wizard of OZ), Margaret (Sabrina Fair), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Bridesmaid (Father of the Bride). Allison would like to thank everyone who helped put on this amazing show. She feels so blessed to work alongside Ms. T and an incredibly talented cast. She would also like to thank her best friends and amazing family for supporting her and being there for her at all times.

Mallory Sellers (Mrs. MacAfee) is a senior at Independence and is taking on her first lead role in a thea-

tre production. In the past, she has been a lead dancer in "Beauty and the Beast", a minor role as a

schizophrenic and a mime in the one act "Check Please!", and a minor role of The Queen in the one act

"The Little Prince." She would like to thank all her friends and family who have shown their love and

support, including MaryLee Atenhan for her encouragement and vocal training, Tadd Himelrick for all

his help in developing her performance and speaking skills, Becky Tertzakian for her faith and direction

in strengthening her acting, and the cast and crew for making all of this worth while.

This young man by the name of Nyle Pierson is glad you could come see the show! In the show, Nyle plays Mr. Harry MacAfee, the father of Kim, in the notable style of Paul Lynde. Last year, in Beauty and the Beast, Nyle played Maurice, Belle's father and is greatly appreciating being cast in all the musicals he's auditioned for thus far. He has also been a part of the Independence show choir, the Declaration Singers. Enjoy the play and make sure to keep an eye out for Mr. MacAfee on the "Ed Sullivan Show".

Honor Leahy is enthralled to be a part of her 4th production here at IHS! Playing the fabulous Mae Peterson

has given her a chance to reflect on what she has learned- that she loves to play comedic roles, that she

needs to work on her New York accent, but most importantly, that she looks great in a fat suit! Honor has

previously been seen as a munchkin/ozian in The Wizard of Oz, a silly girl in Beauty and the Beast, and Kay

Banks in Father of the Bride. Last January, Honor had the privilege of being elected as one of the six state

representatives to the Tennessee State Executive Board. In her spare time she enjoys participating in theat-

rical activities, visiting art museums, and reading Martha Stewart’s encyclopedia of crafts. She would like to

thank the cast and crew for their amazing work, Mrs. Sandra Dudley for being the best voice teacher ever,

and her friends, family and God for supporting her every step of the way! She hopes you’ll sit back, relax,

and pick your own dirty socks up off the floor!

Derek DiDomenico (Conrad Birdie) is a junior at Independence. He is in his first production ever and has no idea how he got a lead role, but he is thrilled and extremely grateful. Derek never thought he would be classified as a singer or an actor. Not once did he even think he would be shaking his hips all across the stage! He is thankful for the support of his family and Jordan Barnard for convincing him to do all this. He also is Honestly Sincere to Ms. T because he has A Lot Of Living To Do!

Mo Kirkpatrick (Ursula Merkle) is a junior here at IHS. She has been in every production here, either on

stage or backstage. She was a munchkin/ozian in The Wizard of Oz, publicity team for Sabrina Fair, Satan

in Don’t Fear the Reaper, a plate/old lady/angry villager in Beauty and the Beast, a shaker in Father of the

Bride, and girl in Check Please. AHHHHHHHHH! CONRAD BIRDIE! AHH! She is very excited to play Ursula

Merkle and is excited to scream and go crazy. She would also like to thank her parents for believing she

could get this part and giving her the “You are special” plate in honor of her achievement. If Ursula is on

stage, be prepared to cover your ears.

Jason Thompson (Hugo Peabody) Jason is a junior at IHS that is very involved in the theatre depart-

ment. He is playing Hugo in Bye Bye Birdie along with Albert’s understudy. He has been a part of

every show that he could be as a high school student. He has played roles in shows from The Wiz-

ard of Oz to Sabrina Fair. He has enjoyed it all. He has also participated in the one acts and home-

coming skits every year. He plans to stay very involved through his senior year. The theatre depart-

ment is a very important and a very large part of his life.

Rachel Maupin (Deborah Sue Miller) is a senior here at IHS. She is totes pumped to be a part of Bye Bye

Birdie for her last musical at this school. You may have previously seen her in The Wizard of Oz (u/s Dor-

othy, Tree #1, Jitterbug, Poppy, Female chorus), Beauty and the Beast (Madame de la Grande Bouche),

and Father of the Bride (Bridesmaid). She has also taken part in the annual One-Act Festival as both an

actor (Happily Ever After, The Script) and a director (Why Do We Laugh?). She hopes to pursue both

theatre and music to some extent in the future, and plans to attend college in the fall. She is sad to be

leaving such a talented and totally awesome group after the three years she has been involved here, but

she couldn’t imagine working with anyone better. It has truly been an honor for her. She will miss her

theatre family too much for words to describe. She would like to send a great thanks to Ms. T for being

the fantastic director that she is. She would also like to thank her family, friends, and God for always be-

ing there to support her. Rachel sends her hugs and butterfly kisses. She thanks you for coming, and

hopes you enjoy the show!

Deanna Cunningham, (Alice) a junior at IHS is exhilarated to be apart in this years production of Bye Bye Birdie. Deanna has appeared on the IHS stage in previous shows such as Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Father of the Bride, and many others. She has also appeared in other stage shows, as well as some films, including Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Janets Planet, the Hannah Montana Movie, and many more. Deanna would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her with such great love and care, Ms. T for giving her the opportunity to do what she loves, you for coming out and supporting the show, and last but not least, she would like to thank God for blessing her so tremendously and always being there. Now Ms. Cunningham asks you to sit back, relax, and have a rockin' good time!

Kendall Reasons (Margie) is a junior here at Independence High School, and is so excited to be a

part of another musical here. She has been performing since she was four and has always loved it.

Here at IHS she has been a part of The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Father of the Bride, and

now Bye Bye Birdie. She has had so much fun with this show and she can’t wait for everyone to see

it!

Kendall Carrasco (Harvey Johnson) is a senior her at IHS. He is so excited to be in his fifth main stage production. He has been blessed with being in the following wonderful productions: The Wizard of Oz, Sabrina Fair, Beauty and the Beast, and Father of the Bride. He has also enjoyed making people laugh through the following One Acts: We’re Not Making This Play Up As We Go Honest, Holka Pol-ka, and Why Do We Laugh? He is also Co-President of the ITS (International Thespian Society) here. He would like to thank his friends, mother, father, brother Kyle, and Kyle’s girlfriend, Danielle for being so supportive of his love for theatre.

Ian Huber (Randolph MacAfee) is a freshman and is excited to be a part of the Independence fall mu-

sical production of Bye Bye Birdie. It is such a pleasure to work with such great cast, crew, and direc-

tors. He would like to thank him mom, dad, and all his siblings for believing in him and pushing him to

his best!

Alli Smith is so thrilled to start off her junior year with Gloria Rasputin and chorus member in the

classic Bye Bye Birdie. Alli has been a part of W.O.Z, The Bald Soprano, Sabrina Fair, Beauty and The

Beast, Check Please, and Father of The Bride. She hopes you and your family will enjoy the show.

And would like to send a special thank you to her parents for supporting her in what she loves to

do, and Ms. T for showing her how to.

Jake Lacher (mayor, quartet, set design) is a senior here at Independence. He is proud to be on stage

again for his last musical. Jake has previously starred as Ben in Father of the Bride and a chorus

member in Beauty and the Beast. He is currently serving as the Co-President of the theatre depart-

ment and plans to major in Technical Theatre at the University of Memphis next fall.

Whitney Hicks (Edna Garfein, Teenager) is an ecstatic senior here at Independence High School. This is

her first time on stage in a main stage production. She has previously worked backstage for Beauty and

the Beast last year. She has also performed in the One Acts: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mrs.

Gloop (2009) and Charlie in The Young and the Senseless (2011). She would like to thank her parents for

always supporting her and her friends that aren’t in theater for understanding that she cannot hang out

with them because she is doing what she really loves!

Allie Spengler is a sophomore. She is super excited to be in Bye Bye Birdie and was last seen on the IHS

stage as Chip in Beauty and the Beast. Allie also does many shows with Act Too Players and The Boiler

Room Theatre. Some recent roles are Jessie (Annie Get Your Gun) and Helen (Thoroughly Modern Millie).

This summer she was chosen to attend Destination Broadway in NYC, where she trained with Broadway

professionals. She would like to thank her parents for their support, Annette de la Torre for being such an

amazing mentor and teacher, and Ms. T for this great opportunity!

Dara Arenas is performing in her very first production and couldn’t be happier to be a part of something so big and entertaining. She plays an exciting role as a teenage girl and hopes you enjoy the show!

Colton Bailey is an eleventh grader this year at IHS; this is his first production with Independence. He

feels extremely blessed and honored to be able to be a part of this production, and he cannot wait for

what else is to come in the Independence theatre program. He would like to thank, first and fore-

most, God for all the He has done in Colton's life. He would also like to thank his parents for sup-

porting him in everything he does, and he would like to thank Lukas Rossi for encouraging him and

helping him achieve the confidence he has in himself today.

Dani Basso (teen chorus) is a super rad sophomore here at IHS. She is thrilled to be in her first In-dependence show. She has been in theater ever since she was a youngin’ and has done some work with Old School Theatre and various other places. She would like to thank her mother and father for their support and both of her grandmothers for their genes. She would also like to thank Ms. T for giving her this wonderful opportunity.

Allie Bosarge (teen chorus) is very excited and enthusiastic about Bye Bye Birdie. She has done

hair and make-up for the past 3 shows, but is glad to actually be in this one. She enjoys singing

and dancing and being part of the chorus requires lots of both. So, that is good. She is most excit-

ed to see the whole show come together and would like to thank Ms. T for being an awesome di-

rector. YAY! Go theater.

Megan Brown (chorus/lead dancer) is soups excited to be a part of this musical. This will be her second time on the main stage. She has been involved in crew for The Wizard of Oz, as well as chorus/lead dancer in Beauty and the Beast. Also, Megan has been involved in the One Acts and has done crew for the past spring plays. She would like to thank Ms. T for this awesome oppor-tunity. She would also like to thank God, her family, and friends for being so supportive!

Joseph Carter is a sophomore here at IHS and is now a very proud member of the ITS Theatre De-partment. He has been a part of Showstoppers for two years at Grassland Middle School and has been participating in the Declaration Singers for two years as well. Last year, during a competition for Show Choir, he won the Bass Soloist Award. Music is his passion. He loves long walks in the park and Margarita cupcakes.

Karina Cleveland (Chorus) is a freshman at Independence High School. She is so excited to be

a part of Bye Bye Birdie. In the past, she has been in other lays such as Annie, Dear Edwina,

and Alice in Wonderland. She looks forward to seeing what shows are to come in the future,

and she hopes to be a part of them.

Olivia Cooper (Lead Dancer) is a senior at IHS and has loved being a part of this theatre de-

partment. She has been a lead dancer in Beauty and the Beast, Mrs. Pulitzky in Father of

the Bride, Girl in The Game, Sophie and Melanie in Check Please and Stage Manager/

Assistant director in Dracula’s Boarding House. She is also head of costuming for Bye Bye

Birdie. She would like to thank her friends and family who have supported her this whole

time. I love you guys!

Chris Doyle is a senior here at IHS. Although he has not taken theatre as a class he has remained involved in the department for the past three years. He will be playing the first reporter, as well as a 50’s teenager, throughout the spectacular chorus of this show. Not only has theatre been the most fun of all the activities he has participated in at Independence, (cough) Second only to show choir… (ahem) but it also holds some of his most fond memories of high school. Chris will treasure them always and will never forget all the amaz-ing people he has had the honor of working with. Note: Chris or Chris Doyle, or just Doyle, has, and never will, admit to being a full time ninja or being magic in any way. And finally, he will always gravitate toward the black hole of drama. Fight it as he may, he will probably be pulled in during his future ventures in life.

Emily Gabhart is a sophomore at independence this year and is very excited to be in her first play at Indy. She

has only been in one other play with act too players. She played Ruth in thoroughly modern Millie. She has

been taking voice for about 5 years with the world’s greatest voice teacher. She would like to thank Melissa for

pushing her to try new things and her best. She would also like to thank her parents for taking the time to deal

with her craziness the past few months. She wants to thank God most of all for blessing her with so much op-

portunity and ability in her life. She thanks you all for coming and hopes you will stop by after the show to say

hi!

Marissa Genovese is a senior at IHS this year. She is so excited to be a part of Bye Bye Birdie this

year. She has previously been in the Wizard of Oz and worked backstage for Beauty and the Beast.

Marissa would like to thank her parents, sister, and friends for always supporting her! She feels so

blessed to be part of this theatre department and is sad to leave this year, but cannot wait to see

what the future holds!

Caroline Gladden is a sophomore at Independence this year and is fo’ sho’ pumped to be in her second show with IHS. She’s one of two sophomore representatives for the IHS theatre depart-ment and has been involved in performing arts for most of her life. She enjoys boots, sunglasses, and glitter. She would like to thank God, her parents, and Ms. T for all their hard work, love, and putting up with her shenanigans.

Millie Grasso , since a very early age has had a passion and appreciation for music and theatre. From Sinatra

to the Beatles to Mumford and Sons - from Annie to Grease to Wicked - the classics and the contemporary

find a way into her heart. Millie has been affiliated with Kids on Stage, Bravo Creative Arts Center and J Kelley

Studios and offers involvement including self-accompanied vocal performances, theatre company perfor-

mances in Annie, Grease and Cinderella, and group vocal and dance performances. As a freshman, Millie is

thrilled and honored for the opportunity to participate as a Teen Chorus Member in the cast of Independ-

ence’s production of Bye Bye Birdie.

Emily Harris is a junior here at IHS. She was in Beauty and the Beast last year, and is excited for

Bye Bye Birdie! She wants to thank her family and friends for all of their support. She looks for-

ward to participating in future productions at IHS as well.

Ashley Jenkins is a senior at IHS. This is her first musical to be involved in and she is one of four lead

dancers. She has been in show choir since junior year and is still involved this year. She has been in choir

since 5th grade and has been accepted in All-State and Mid-State competitions throughout these 6-7

years. She would like to thank her mom, grandparents, and family for their leading support during all of

her musical life! She is thrilled to perform in her first musical with Ms. T and the theatre program for her

senior year!

Matthew Keegan is currently an 11th grader at IHS, and he is grateful to be involved in the

production of Bye Bye Birdie. He was previously casted in Beauty and the Beast as a chorus

member, and is now casted as a member of teen chorus, adult chorus, and Mr. Johnson.

Allie Laughary, a senior at IHS is incredibly thankful to be a part of the Bye Bye Birdie pro-duction. She has been in This Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast.

Lydia Lay, a junior this year, is super excited to be back on stage in this year’s fall production

of Bye Bye Birdie. She is part of the teenage chorus and absolutely loves it! She has been a

part of many things in the IHS theatre department including Beauty and the Beast, several

One Acts, and all the homecoming skits. She would like to thank all her friends and family for

supporting her and to Ms. T for giving her this opportunity!

Madi Mayfield is a sophomore at Independence High School and this is her second year in the

ITS program. She is extremely excited to be a part of Bye Bye Birdie, especially after her experi-

ence in Beauty and the Beast last year. She would like to thank her parents and friends for sup-

porting her and her coaches and Ms. T for working with her crazy schedule.

Morgan McCollum (Nancy) is a junior. She is new to Independence and is thrilled to be a part of Bye

Bye Birdie. She has been in choir most of her school years but is new to musical productions. She has

loved every part of this fun new experience.

Landon Meldrum would like to say, Hello to all the beautiful people reading this bio. He is a sopho-more and is very happy to be a part of his second production at Independence. He was a mover in Father of the Bride, and is now a policeman in Bye Bye Birdie. Being a part of this process has been a very enriching experience for him. He’d like to thank Ms. T for making it possible for him to be a part of this show. He would also like to thank his fellow cast member, Lindsey, Taylor and the Dra-ma Llamas for putting in a lot of time to make this a great show. He would also like to thank his parents for supporting him throughout this process.

Jeremy Morris (Chorus member) Jeremy is a junior at IHS this year and is delighted to be a part of another T-time musical production. His previous performances include the role of Buzz Taylor in "Father of the Bride", and a townsperson/fork in "Beauty and the Beast". He has enjoyed being a part of IHS's theatre program for the past couple of years and has tried to avoid causing too much trouble. Jeremy would like to thank his parents for their love and support, his sisters for introducing him to theater at IHS and Taylor Sokoll for being nothing short of the greatest friend and mentor.

Tracie Owens (Mrs. Merkle/Teenager) is a sophomore and is beyond excited to be part of Bye Bye Birdie.

This is her first musical here at IHS, but she has been part of other plays outside of the school and in middle

school, such as Backstage, Miss Teen Beauty Queen, Kinetic, and 2011, A Space Oddity. She has loved thea-

tre since before she can remember. She also wants to thank her family for supporting her, especially her

parents for all the crazy rides to rehearsals. And last, but certainly not least, she wants to thank God for the

amazing opportunity and for the chance to do the thing she loves to do. She really hopes you enjoy the

Andrea Painter (Chorus) is a senior who is happy to be a part of her second musical at Independence

High School. She would like to thank her family and friends for being supportive and Mrs. T for giving

her this wonderful opportunity to be involved in what she loves doing. She hopes everyone enjoys

the show!

Nolan Proctor is a junior her at IHS, and this is his first time being in a play or musical. He is super excited to be here though. Hope you enjoy the show!

Megan Rowe is a junior here at IHS. She is very excited to finally be a part of the theater program.

She has participated in the One-Acts put on by students, but this is her first ever main-stage produc-

tion. She loves to sing and dance, and enjoys being on the stage. She would like to thank her friends

and family for supporting her in everything that she does, and for all of their encouragement.

Alexis Santoro is a junior, and this is her first time performing at IHS. She is very excited to be a

part of the Bye Bye Birdie production. She is looking forward to be in the future Independence the-

atre productions. She would like to thank her family, friends, and boyfriend for all their support.

Ashley VanMatre (Teen Chorus) is a Junior, and is enormously excited to be a part of her third

musical production at IHS. She has previously appeared as a Munchkin/Ozian in The Wizard of

Oz and a Villager/Plate in Beauty and the Beast. She considers herself blessed to be part of such

a successful theatre department and to work with such a talented cast and crew. She would like

to thank her parents and friends for being flexible with the crazy rehearsal schedules and, of

course, for their never-ending support.

Rachel Westbrooks is a sophomore at Independence High School. She is playing the character Pe-nelope Anne. She has previously been in Beauty and the Beast, Tom Sawyer, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She is very excited to be a part of this production. She would like to thank God, for giving her this opportunity and her family and friends for supporting her!

Meet Your Crew Cameron Luna (Assistant Stage Manager/ Props Manager) Cameron is a junior at IHS and began thea-

tre her freshman year and has been a part of it ever since. She started out on props crew as a fresh-

man, then made it up to props manager last year, and is now the assistant stage manager. She has

loved working with the phenomenal cast and crew. Cameron would like to thank Ms. T for all of the

wonderful opportunities, her family for all of their support, and her friends for pushing her to do her

best. She hopes you all enjoy the show!

Gavin Blackhurst (Stage Manager, Lighting Technician, Chorus) is a senior here at IHS. He is glad to be

involved in the musical one last time. He was previously seen as a knife/candleman in Beauty and the

Beast and has done all of the lighting all four years of his high school career. He loves his opportunity to

be stage manager, because he loves the responsibility and control. He has worked all around the thea-

tre, from on stage singing and dancing, to straight acting, to set building, to lights and sound. He has

learned so much from being the stage manager of a high school production. He has been involved in Old

School Theatre, being last seen as Leon Tolchinsky in Fools. He has been doing theatre things since he

was in 7th grade. He would like to thank his family for their support and countless hours of late nights.

He would also like to thank the cast for being wonderful to work with and always being on their toes.

Morgan Moeller (Student Director) This is Morgan’s senior year at IHS. She has been involved with Theatre since she moved to Tennessee her sophomore year and has been a part of Holka Polka, Happily Never After, Dracula’s Boarding House, Beauty and the Beast, Father of the Bride, and Bye Bye Birdie within that time. Morgan is so excited for Bye Bye Birdie and would like to thank God, her awesome family for being so supportive, and of course Ms. T for giving her all these wonderful opportunities!

Josh Wakefield (Light and Sound Booth Manager) is a senior at IHS this year. He has been a part of numer-

ous theatrical productions at IHS, and his roles include acting, manning the spotlight, designing sound,

playing percussion, and currently, managing the light and sound booth. He helped backstage with The

Sound of Music during his eighth-grade year, and has been a part of every production since then, including

musicals, straight plays, one-act festivals, He’s All That, Miss Liberty, and homecoming skits. He is extreme-

ly excited to embark on this final musical excursion at IHS. He would like to thank God first, because He

has given the necessary skills and patience for the job. He would also like to thank his family for their in-

credible support: Mom, for rocking that piano; Dad, for being the resident chaplain; Han for being an awe-

some sister. He would also like to thank you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!

~~~ Directing Staff ~~~ MaryLee Atenhan received her Bachelor’s of Music Ed. From the Univ. of NE-Lincoln, and her Master’s of Curriculum

and Instruction from Doane College.

While in Nebraska, Mrs. Atenhan’s participation in her vocal program in-creased by 250%. Mrs. Atenhan has received

multiple Superior ratings for Girls, Men’s, Concert, and Show Choir. She has performed twice at Carnegie Hall with com-

posers John Rutter & Z. Randall Stroope. She also received a commendation from the governor of S.C. for her work at

Laurens High School from 1998-2000. While in Kansas, Mrs. Atenhan’s show choir received two Grand Champion Nation-

al Awards and participated in a workshop with the cast from “Wicked” in New York City.

Most importantly, MaryLee is the wife of Kevin, and the proud mother of two children and a new son-in law; Ashley &

Ryan Hedden, and Ryan Atenhan. She also is involved with her church small groups. In her “free” time she en-joys being

with her family, interior decorating, and exercising.

Patricia Wakefield is in her eighth season as a music director with IHS theatre, having made her debut with the pro-

gram’s inaugural musical production of Anything Goes. She is privileged to have shared the IHS theatre experience with

both her children, Hannah and Joshua Wakefield, throughout their high school careers.

A native of Alabama, Patricia holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and a

Master of Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. She served on the

music ministry staff of churches in Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas, and as Music Associate for Missouri Baptist Conven-

tion. Patricia has provided keyboard accompaniment for operas, recitals, and choral groups at various universities. As a

freelance writer and editor for Lifeway Christian Resources, she has written articles and curriculum for children’s choirs

and church accompanists and devotional material for students.

Patricia is married to Mike Wakefield and is a private piano teacher, substitute teacher for Williamson County Schools,

and serves as a student ministry volunteer in her church.

She would like to thank the T-Time productions family—Ms.T, Mrs. A, Mr. Cooper, parents, and the cast and crew of

amazing students for their care and support during the challenging days of being a caregiver for her parents.

This is Lindsey Kirkendall's third year choreographing for Independence High School and she is so excited to be a part

of the fun and madness all over again. Lindsey has been singing, acting and dancing since she was a little girl and has

always loved the theatre. A smattering of her career highlights and lowlights include: Dancing in 2 Nutcracker ballets,

Footloose the musical and Coppelia, a B-horror flick starring Minka Kelly (of Friday Night Lights fame), Cheerleading for

Rob Schneider in "The Hot Chick", playing the disciple Peter in "The Water Walkers" at Long Beach State University,

award for out-standing vocal jazz solo while on tour at the University of Northern Colorado, working as a spray tan mod-

el, walking in fashion shows for the Nashville Film Festival and Nashville Fashion Week, playing orphan "Kate" in

"Annie" and numerous commercials with the likes of Kid Rock, Blake Shelton and The Energizer Bunny. Lindsey was

also a competitive cheerleader in Jr. High, High School and College as well as a competitive gymnast. She has coached

and taught dance, cheerleading and gymnastics on and off since she was in High School and loves working with High

School students. She and her husband are also Younglife leaders here at Independence High. Lindsey wishes to thank

Miss T and the cast for allowing her the opportunity to be a part of their creative process and for trusting her with their

musical numbers. She is humbled and honored to be part of such a talented and dedicated group of students, parents and

faculty. Since our last T-Time Production, Lindsey has added motherhood to her resume.

Chris Cooper is currently the director of bands at Independence High School. Mr. Cooper has been at Independence

since it opened in 2004. Mr. Cooper’s has conducted numerous musicals and opera’s at the collegiate, community, profes-

sional, and high school level over the past 15 years. Prior to arriving at Independence, Mr. Cooper was a Doctoral assis-

tant at the University of Georgia where he conducted the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and served with the Redcoat

Marching Band. Mr. Cooper was the Assistant Director of Bands at Vanderbilt University from 1995 until 2002 where

directed the community band, jazz band, marching band and served as the advisor and founder for the Pi Delta Chapter

of Phi Mu Alpha. Additionally, Mr. Cooper was a performing fellow at the Aspen Summer Music institute. Mr. Cooper’s

professional affiliations include Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tau Beta Sigma, Kappa Kappa Psi, National Band Association,

Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association, Conductor’s Guild, and numerous performance organizations. Mr.

Cooper is happy to be involved with this year’s production of Bye Bye Birdie.
