President’s MessageJuly’s meeting was held at the A&W. The food was good, the weather was wonderful and the partici-pants were very enjoyable (even Steve)!

Some discussions centered around the Street Ma-chine Nationals at the State Fairground along with a bit of discussion about the POCI Convention in Kentucky. Both promise to be highly attended and hugely fun events, and we hope all participants enjoy the warm weather of summer while they stroll the grounds and enjoy the sun’s gleam off of those beautiful cars!

Future events include the annual Apple Valley Show. Nick Mann will be making contact with the coordinator at the dealership and will provide more details at next month’s meeting, which will be held at Wagner’s Drive-In in Brooklyn Park. An-other great opportunity to get those cars out for an evening cruise!

A shout goes out to my son who ran his first race at BIR over the 4th of July, and likewise we hope you are all having an exhilarating summer and enjoying those fine American machines of yours while the season is prime.

Tony Miller, Tomahawk Chief

July Meeting Minutes7/14/15

We met at at the A&W with 16 mem-bers present. Meeting called to order at 7:30. Jim was not at the meeting, so we did not have treasurer’s report. Last months meeting minutes were read and accepted.

Old Business- Street Machine Nation-als ( formerly Car Craft ): we plan the same as previous years. Todd could use some help with the tent set up. We need some one to take it down as Todd won’t be able to be there on Sunday.

New Business- Valley Show: we were not sure if we had a flier set up at this time. Nick will try to meet with Valley. The show is usually the third Saturday in September. Ed Hustad is having a ga-rage sale with some Pontiac parts, July 18th and 19th from 9-6. Nick knows a person selling an original Nash Tun-nel Ram for 1500. Pontiac Event- The show is at the Chanhassen Motorplex on July 25. This year’s featured model is the Full size models. We will meet at Wagner’s for next months meeting.

Steve “Mudbird” Weese Tomahawk Chapter Secretary

Meanwhile... Back at the “Pontiac Ranch”

I ran out of room for my column, so I’ll just say enjoy the rest of summer here and keep those Ponchos rollin’!

Paul Bergstrom, Tomatalk Editor.

Coverage

Todd Lewis has the new Tomahawk Chapter t-shirts. They are $18 each, (2) for $32 or (3) for $42. Call Todd at (651) 895-9325 to get yours.

1979 Pontiac Sunbird44,900 miles, 4 cylinder 151 c.i. Iron Duke engine. It is a 4 speed. It does not have power brakes or power steer-ing as these were optional in ‘79. I still have the original wheels ,tires and hubcaps and would sell with or without the ET mags that are on it and pictured. The car is all original ,no rust and has never been in the snow. It has a limited slip differential. A few things that I have done include, the windows are tinted with a film, air shocks were installed to raise the rear end a little. The original AM/FM radio was re-placed with a cassette stereo and a hitch was added to tow my small sail-boat to the lake. I would really like to get at least $4000.00 for the car. This is such a unique car (when was the last time you saw one on the road?) and would really like it to go to someone who appreciate it for what it is worth. I would like to get it to someone be-fore something stupid happens like me hitting a deer! Any more questions or more pix please feel free to e-mail or call me. I’m usually around in the eve-nings 218-475-2767
