Product code 99.997.548 Toners and cartridges are taken by our haulier Maidens back to our National Distribution Centre in Telford, see page 5 for their carrier license. CBDU87638 Our partner then recycles/reprocesses 94% of the parts. Many of the parts being made into new toners/cartridges. The other 6% (waste inks) are incinerated for energy. See pages 12-14 The process starts all over again! Toners & cartridges are then collected by our recycling partner - 3rd party company Kuehne & Nagel. See page 6 for a copy of their waste carriers license And shipped to Germany (Pages 7-11) where they are sorted and logged:- dependant on how they are to be processed next, they are sent to Thailand (A) or Romania (B) A waste transfer note is created in SAP - one copy for the customer and one copy for Lyreco, see page 2 for an example of our waste transfer note. Copies to be kept for 2 years Lyreco hold a waste carrier licence - CBDU48920. LYRECO Toner Cartridges Green Products for a Clean Environment
Acting responsibly towards the environment is a key part of our manufacturing process.Lyreco products are produced with a combination of new key components and used original parts. Lyreco recycling boxes are provided Free of Charge for the collection of Empty Cartridges.
Useful parts of empty cartridges are re-used in the production process while the unusable parts are individually recycled as part of our zero waste program.All Lyreco cartridges are produced with a new Long Life Optical Drum Unit. The optical drum and the new toner powder are strictly coordinated for optimum quality. Furthermore, all critical components, including chips and electronic contacts are replaced with new components.Throughout the production process all cartridges are subject to stringent, comprehensive and independent quality checks and testing procedures.
This ensures the quality standards of the Lyreco toner cartridges. For example, every cartridge is individually tested at the end of the production process including end of line print tests. Our production facilities are monitored under ISO regulations. Our quality management is certified under ISO 9001 and our Environmental Management under ISO 14001. In addition to which Lyreco toner cartridges also meet the Nordic Swan criteria of Eco-labeling.
