Support the Production of our Bulletin For quite sometime we have been producing our own bulleting al-lowing us to meet the needs of the three languages. If we were to send this bulletin out to be produce, we would have to have one bul-letin in English only for everyone and the publications of the Read-ings in Italian and Spanish would have to come to an end. Help us by Supporting our advertisers and also by placing an add in our bulletin for a year. Please call the office for more information.

live music and much more!. Tickets will be on sale soon.
Mass Intentions We remind parishioners that we are presently in the process of reviewing Archdiocesan permission to have multiple mass intentions at specific masses. For this reason we are not taking intentions for Sun-day masses in English until we receive such permis-sions. Given that there is only one mass a week in Italian and one in Spanish, it is very likely that we will receive permission to receive multiple inten-tions for those two masses. However, it is very un-likely that we will receive permission for intentions at Sunday masses in English due to the availability of masses during the week. We are hoping to have permission to accept multiple intentions on Wednes-day evening masses. Until that happens, we advise everyone that this is a norm that must be observed and we all have to adapt to. More information will be available upon reception of the response of the Archdiocese.
Volunteers Risk Management Our parish started the Volunteer Screening pro-gram a few months ago and the process has prov-en to be more time consuming than we expected. However, we are very proud to inform the com-munity that our team is now preparing to begin the process of contacting all existing volunteers in order to have everyone counted under this pro-gram which is mandated by Ontario Law and Archdiocesan law. If you have not done so al-ready, please take a moment to fill out the form below to let us know if you are presently volun-teering in any capacity whatsoever. We appreciate your cooperation.
Second Collection Sept 27 & 28 for The Needs of the Canadian Church Every year, the Bishops of Canada make an appeal for financial assistance to support their work and the work of each diocese by means of the Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada. The President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), the Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau, has described this Collec-tion as “an opportunity for all the faithful in our country to give a hand to helping the Gospel!” The annual Collection allows each diocese to meet its financial obligations to the regional episcopal as-semblies and to the national episcopal Conference. “Any additional revenues raised help the diocese support its own diocesan pastoral programs and oth-er activities,” Archbishop Durocher explains. The CCCB is the national assembly of the Catholic Bish-ops in Canada, and includes the Bishops of the East-ern Catholic Churches. The Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada will be held September 27 and 28, 2014. Through your contr ibution to the Collection, you too can collaborate with the Bishops in their ministry to teach, sanctify and govern.
Good Shepherd Ministries The good shepherd Ministries is a charity which provides food, shelter, clean clothing and vital services to the home-less and vulnerable in down-town Toronto. Last year through the generosity of the
Parishioners of St. Jude’s Church and other Parishes, more than 5,389 pairs of socks were collected that helped keep the homeless men warm last winter. The annual drive this Year is for men’s underwear sizes medium & large. Packaged donations are gratefully accepted af-ter weekend masses at the back of the Church over the next couple weekends. Thank you for your support to help keep the homeless warm this winter.

In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us the strange parable of a landowner who hired laborers at five different times during the course of one day to work in his vineyard but paid the same living wage for a full day’s work to all of them. This story of the landlord's love and generosity represents God’s love and generosity. It illustrates the difference be-tween God's perspective and ours. God's provisions for our spiritual lives will never run out, and when we share our blessings with others, we tap into the inexhaustible Divine
supply. This story tells us how God looks at us, sees our needs and meets those needs generously and mercifully.

Upcoming Work at St Jude’s We have a number of projects up-coming that we need assistance with – either by the donation of time, materials or both. Have a look at the list below and let the office
know how you can help – we can’t do it without YOU!
Refinishing the floors of the church: Re-moval and re-install of pews; Removal of carpet and vinyl tile; Grinding of floor Sealing floor with epoxy.
Painting: We have many areas of the build-ing - inside and out - that are in need of painting. In some cases the walls are going
to need to be washed or treated first due to past water issues. -we need donations of paint and cleaning materials such as the TSP cleaner, drop sheets and plastic for covering items, paint-er’s tape, rolls, brushes, and paint trays
Constructing – Carpentry and Drywall: We have some projects involving putting up metal studs, drywall, tape, mud and sanding.
Caulking work: Many of our windows and door frames need the caulking replaced.
Pipe Wrap: We have heating and water pipes that still need to be insulated.
Tile work: We have areas where both vinyl and ceramic tile needs to be repaired or re-
placed.
Masonry: Some of our brickwork need tuck pointing, some exterior walls need attention. We’ll need bricks, mortar and someone who is a brick layer for this work
Electrical: *We have lights to put in, others to move around, and wiring needing to be done for various projects.
Security & Life Safety: As you’ve seen from the signs on the doors, we’ve had to imple-ment some controls around our accessibility. It has always been in the plans to improve our security. We’re also going to be replac-ing our fire alarm system.
