What is Smile ?

Smile CS1000Operator Console(M2250 – CIU)

Smile is a PC based operator console solution.

It combines the call processing power of the PBX with the information and storage power of a PC.

It provides a directory database and rich graphical user interface for easy call handling.

Smile runs on a Windows platform and has been specially designed for the Nortel CS1000.

Smile can query the LDAP Directory Server to find out contact information.

It can also synchronize its own common data (name, department, extensions, ...) with an LDAP Directory Server.

Personal Notes

• The Personal Note facility allows users to update their personal note by sending

an e-mail to Smile. This personal note will appear automatically when the Smile

• The subject of the e-mail may contain the Personal Note expiration date. After that date, the personal note will be automatically deleted.

• A reply can be automatically generated to advice the user that his personal notes has been successfully updated.

• It interacts with the most popular e-mail system using the POP3 and SMTP protocol.
