NARI of Central Ohio

Vision Statement To be the primary resource for the Remodeling Industry and its consumers

remodeling professionalrsquos knowledge through education and industry

involvement and serves as a trusted resource for consumers

We had our January meeting in a snow storm and our July general meet-

ing outdoors in 90+ degree heat yet attendance has still been great How

dedicated is our NARI team Thank you for enduring the heat at our last

meeting Mr Mulch was a great host they had plenty to eat and drink and a

great presentation Thank you again for your hospitality

Our community service project with the Buckeye Ranch is in the final

paperwork stages and will soon be underway Our project consists of new

window wells regrading and basement water corrections to Argo Hall at the

Buckeye Ranch in Grove City Eric Call CR of The Cleary Company has

accepted role as project manager Eric we appreciate your leadership Irsquom

sure we will all support you when you call on us

Boo at the Zoo A not so scary NARI event which is a great branding

opportunity for NARI This haunted house is a large project that we need

everyonersquos help on First and foremost we need a project manager We need

exterior wall panels the entrance facade room finishes and interior parti-

tions The Zoo will provide all staffing during the event but we need to get

the pavillion ready Volunteers will have the opportunity to promote your

company while handing out candy and treats NARI will be well recognized

and promoted through the event inclusive of radio Zoo promotions just to

name a few This first year will be the hardest and we have a short amount

of time to get ready Next year we will be able to reuse panels and systems

that we set up this year Please everyone pitch in with everyonersquos help it

will be a great boost for NARI and a TON of FUN

Thank you for your support I look forward to seeing everyone at our golf

outing on August 26th or our next general meeting at Hamilton Parker on

ENCOURAGING NEWS

A recent article from Consumer Reports states that current

homeowners are proceeding with remodeling projects de-

spite the troubled economy The remodeling industry has

been a bright spot ldquoEven with the current struggles in the

economy consumers are looking to make upgrades to their

current homes rather than purchasing new onesrdquo

according to Joe Emison of BuildFax The BuildFax index

shows that based on construction permits filed with local

building departments remodeling has increased by 18 in

the

CALL FOR BOARD NOMINATIONS

The NARI of Central Ohio Nominating Committee wants to hear from

those in the chapter who are interested in being nominated to the Board

of Directors The Nominating Committee will be looking for represen-

tatives who are committed not only to remodeling but also in helping

to grow the organization

The Board of Directors consists of five officers and six board members

at large Three of the officer positions and a total of six members of the

Board must be remodelers

Any member in good standing may nominate themselves or another

member for service on the Board Serving on the Board of Directors of

your Association is a service to your industry

All nominations will be considered by the committee To be consid-

ered nominations must be received no later than September 9th Call
