PAGE 1 TERM 1 WEEK 10 And just like that we have reached the last week of Term 1. The last ten weeks have absolutely flown by and our students have learnt so much. Parent teacher interviews have been held this term to give everyone input into student learning goals for the coming weeks and we are working hard to ensure all students are successful. NEW STRATEGIC IMPROVEMENT PLAN – 2021-2024 I am excited to say that our new Strategic Improvement Plan has now been completed. This will drive the direcon of the school over the next four years and has been developed with input from students, staff, parents/carers and members of the community, including consultaon with representaves of Minimbah AECG. Our three strategic direcons are: Student growth and aainment - focusing on Reading and Numeracy Personalised pathways – focusing on Data and Feedback Partners in learning – focusing on Aendance and Wellbeing Our focus on improved Reading and Numeracy outcomes for all students remains one of our top priories as we look to prepare them for life aſter school and give them choices about what they want to do when they become adults. COLOUR RUN – RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY 31ST MARCH We are excited to announce our Colour Run which had to be postponed earlier this term due to the rain, has been rescheduled for this Wednesday 31st March. Students may come to school in their white t-shirts, shorts/trackpants and fully enclosed running shoes rather than school uniform on the day. Sunglasses will be provided for the students during the race to protect their eyes. The event will be held on the boom oval with families welcome to watch from outside the fence as the course will take up most of the oval. Our proposed metable is as follows: 1:35pm - 1:45pm Pre-school will run with Year 4 buddies around the course Biyangbiyaang Preschoolers who have paid for the Colour Run are welcome to join the Arbin group and aend as long as their parents stay to take them home as soon as their race is completed 1:50pm - 2:10pm K-2 run 2:15pm - 2:35pm Yrs 3-6 run Fingers crossed the weather will be nicer to us this me and dont need to postpone due to rain. We are looking forward to a fantasc event! EASTER HAT PARADE – THURSDAY 1ST APRIL To finish off a fantasc term of learning we will be holding our Easter Hat Parade this Thursday 1st April at 1.45pm on the basketball court. Family members are asked not to enter the school grounds unl aſter 1.30pm as students will be out at recess unl then. All students have been given the opportunity to make their Easter hats during class me so no work or preparaon is needed at home for families and students are to wear normal school uniform as usual on the day. Some seang will be available around the edge of the basketball court for visitors with children from each class parading around the edge of the court for everyone to see. The P&C Raffle will be drawn earlier in the day with winners nofied via Facebook and phone so that prizes can be picked up that aſternoon at Milabah. Have a safe and happy Easter everyone!
