PASS RATES MEASURES 6A

• Definition: The percentage of students or graduates that achieved a passing score on licensure or certification examination

• Numerator: Students or graduates with a passing score

• Denominator: Students or graduates that took the examination

• Data availability varies with source

• Uses standards established by state or national certification or licensing organizations.

– Taken at the time of application to teacher education program

– Students who don’t pass may be admitted to the program and must be given additional time to demonstrate proficiency and/or support to develop proficiency
