Description : The Project is related to Designing, Configuring, Mainting, Troubleshooting the Vmware Infrastructure and windows infrastructure .In these Project Client applications like Messaging, Applications, and Data bases are installed in the Cloud that we support.

Physical Infrastructure of the Project: Contains 15 data centers in four locations in Canada. Contains approximately 1700 production, QA, Development wintel servers, exchange, SQL, Oracle data base, storage & backup servers, Domain Controllers. All of them are hosted on HP, Dell server hardware.

Virtual Infrastructure of the Project: Contains 2 Vcentre server one for production and one is for non-production. Production Vcentre contains two virtual data center with 2 clusters on each virtual data center with 200 production virtual machines and 13 ESXI hosts. And the Non Production Vcentre contains single virtual data center with two clusters and 8 ESXI hosts. All the ESXI hosts are installed on the CISCO UCS hardware.

Responsibilities :

• Providing Windows server and vmware infrastructure troubleshooting services for The Clients.

• Performed OOPS readiness i.e. verifying the servers Functionality before bringing it into Production Environment.

• Performed Configuring, installing, Troubleshooting Server Monitoring tools to monitor the Server health such as Blade Logic server automation, BMC Patrol M Agent, SCOM, Nagios, Zabix Monitoring tools.

• Performed Configuring, installing, Troubleshooting Backup Software such as VERITAS Net backup, Tivoli Storage Manager, Commvault Backup.

• Taking the backup of all Physical and virtual Windows servers using TSM, VERITAS Net backup.

• Performed the Virtual machine decommission from the Vcentre server.

• Exporting the System Logs of vsphere components such as ESXI, Storage, networking, HA, Cross Dumps, Hardware Errors for Finding the Root Cause Analysis and fixing the issues.

• Health Check of Production and Non Production Vcenter servers.

• Performed Virtual Machine Snapshot related activity such as Creation, deletion, consolidation.

• Performed activity such as Vmotion, DRS, Vstorage Motion, VMware Tool upgrade on servers and Domain Controllers.

• Performed creation, configuration, troubleshooting issues on virtual switches across ESXI host, Data center, Virtual Machines, Virtual Clusters.

• Upgrading the ESX host and Virtual Machine from 4.1 to 5.0 through Update manager.

• Performed RDM Mapping and creating the mount points for the exchange Servers Virtual Machine.

• Participated and Performed the DR activity with different teams using vmware vsphere site recovery manager.

• Performed P2V Migration using vmware Vcentre converter.

• Troubleshooting and fixing the issues when an Alarm is triggered for vsphere components such as ESXI hosts, Virtual Machine, Datastore.

• Configured DRS on Vsphere Cluster.

• Worked on Windows Fail over clustering issues.

• Performed Disk Provisioning on newly created Virtual Machines

• Performed Server Hardening on Windows 2k, 2k3, 2k8, 2012 servers as per the Hardening Policy.
