System Design

Saranya.VAP/CSE,

• Systematic approach to creating a design.

2 basic Principles used in design methodology:

Problem Partitioning: Large System cannot handle

as a whole. So dividing the system into smaller

systems.

Abstraction: overall behavior of the system.

Partitioning

• When partitioning is used “ The design activity

focuses on one part of the system at the time”

• Also the one sub system can interact with other

systems by clear understanding. For this purpose we

need “Abstraction” concept.

The R-T System Design Process

• Allocate system functions to concurrent processes.

• Design algorithms for stimulus processing.

• Design a scheduling system.

Ex: Microwave ovenThis is one of the Real Time System which involves great

care in Design and Implementation.
