Introduction:
As a woman, and an investor, shaping of financial future is as important as the many
other roles they play in life. That's why taking control today is essential in realizing their
dreams for tomorrow. Whether women are just beginning to develop their investment
strategy or are refining a current one, it's important to keep in mind that they should build
a financial legacy for long term.
This research will be carried out primarily to find out the attitude of women investors
towards the risk and return and the process of financial planning process undertaken by
these investors.
Financial planning is the process of meeting goals of life through proper management offinances of an individual. Financial planning provides direction and meaning to financial
decisions. It helps in understanding how each financial decision one makes affects other
areas of finances. By viewing each financial decision as part of a whole, short and long-
term effects on the life goals can be evaluated.
Statement of problem:
As Investment and financial planning provides direction and meaning
to financial decisions. It helps in understanding how each financial
decision one makes affects other areas of finances.
This research will aim at identifying the Women investors investment behavior and
this research will be carried out primarily to find out the various
options available to the women investors who are doing their financial
planning and to find their attitude towards risk and return.

Objectives of Study:
To find out investment behavior of women investors and the
factors that influence their investment decisions. To find out the women investors attitude towards risk and return
on investment.
To find out the various investment options women invest in and
how aggressive they are in terms of investing.
To study and analysis the women investors financial goals and
their investment pattern.
Objectives of the Study
Primary Objectives
To find out risk appetite of women investors.
To find out whether the women investors are looking for long
term growth or risk or return or liquidity. To know their long term financial goals.
Secondary Objectives
To understand the needs and wants of the respondents with
respect to their financial requirements in their life.
To have an understanding of the respondents saving pattern.

Methodology:
The type of research used in this study is descriptive, it describes the data
and characteristics of the population or phenomena being studied. In this case
descriptions of
characteristics associated with population of women investors will be
formulated and estimates of the proportions of women who possess
particular investment behavior is evaluated.
Method of Data Collection: The data is collected through questionnaires. Tosupport the information collected secondary data source will be used. Depending on the
requirements various published research reports, journals, articles and books will be
referred.
Type of survey: Questionnaire is used as the medium to collect the information from the
population of women investors under study i.e. their opinions regarding the subject
matter.
Method of sampling: For the purpose of the study, judgment sampling will
be used. In judgment sampling technique, on the basis of the
researchers judgment, sample is selected which is considered as
representative of the population.
Sampling unit : This research will be conducted only for women.
Sample size : 50 to 100

Tool for analysis: After the collection of data, coding sheet will be
prepared to classify the data. Thevarious tools which will be used for
presentation and testing of hypothesis will be:
Bar graphs.
Pie charts.
Column graphs.
Chapter schemes:
Chapter 1: Introduction
This chapter gives the clear picture about the broad area, specific area about the topic
being studied i.e. meaning, background etc.
Chapter 2: Review of literature and research design
This chapter gives the picture of statement of problem, objectives of conducting research,
scope of study being conducted, its application and limitations, operational definition of
the variables, finally the hypothesis.
Chapter 3: Company profile:
This chapter gives the picture of the company, history, present status, activities being
carried, structure of the organization and future prospectus.
Chapter 4: Analysis and interpretation
This chapter contains the graphs and other statistical tools used in measuring the data
collected through questionnaire.
Chapter 5: summary of findings, conclusion, recommendations and policy
implications and scope for further study
This chapter gives the picture of various findings drawn out of analysis and
interpretation, conclusions made and suitable solutions for the problem under study as
well scope for further study.
