iVisionmax-TAMS (Telecom & Automation Monitoring System)

iVisionmax-TAMS (Telecom & Automation Monitoring

System) is a customized module developed on the

iVisionmax Platform to monitor Telecom Devices,

Networking Equipment and Various Automation System

installed in a Plant.

The TAMS package will integrate the functionality of NMS

& SCADA system and provide a single monitoring station

for Telecom & Automation Systems within a facility,

thereby allowing the Operator to monitor the status and

take appropriate decisions from a single platform.

It plays vital role in collecting and controlling security and

process data within the plant and across geographically

dispersed field operations. This enhances operational

efficiency and effectiveness. It enables real-time control

and access to operational information, enabling

Maintenance Staff to communicate, collaborate and take

informed decisions.

Custom Scripting

iVisiomMax-TAMS supports custom scripting using Native

Python to develop custom scripts and logic inside the

system.

Inter- Sub-System Integration

Inter Sub-System Integration Module allows integration of

two subsystem via the TAMS package. This could be

integration of the ANPR system with the Access Control.

Telecom System and Networking System with the

Automation System, etc.

Interfacing of the safety system with the Telecom and ELV

package. It acts as a communication bridge for inter system

integration.

Alarm & Reporting

The reporting tool is based on standard Excel that allows

the operator to generate daily reports and work in a

familiar environment.

The alarm tool enables you to monitor significant events,

compare and perform root cause analysis to optimize

processes in real time.

Alarms, notifications and alerts can be imported from third

party devices such as network intrusion detection systems

(NIDS).

Information Correlation

The platform collects information from multiple platforms

such network devices, PLCs, RTUs, system diagnostics. This

information can be correlated to thresholds and setpoints

in the process. Any deviation in these values will be flagged

as an error or threat to the user.

Control and Action

The platform can be configured to import data from other

devices/platforms such as Network Intrusion Detection

System (NIDS). This has been tested with an OT IDS

platform – Nozomi. Network and protocol information

from devices in network can be received and action based

on the input’s conditions can be set.

Device Configuration

Network elements such as switches, routers, etc. can

configured and managed using iVisionmax-TAMS. The

platform communicates to these devices using Telnet

and/or SSH. This allows an operator to ease of access and

improves efficiency.

TAMS provide a plant overview of both the

Automation and telecom Equipment’s in the

same screen. It provides the equipment status as

well as its link Status with the network.

TAMS for Cybersecurity

The OT network today is growing and is composed of different types of applications and equipment. A simple network would consist of servers,

workstations and switches. With increase in the size and/or number of plants or facility the complexity of the manageability increases giving rise to

vulnerabilities. Multiple management applications are required to monitor, manage and control various services.

The TAMS cybersecurity module eases the monitor and control different applications and services but providing a single pane interface. It

communicates with different network and host security applications in order to collate data and alarms from multiple sources and presents

comprehensive information to the user. It simplifies the interactions between various applications as shown in figure.

Ease of Device Manageability

The application can communicate with network elements such as switches and routers to collect information using SNMP. Configuration

management can be handled using TAMS as it can connect directly to the devices.

Intrusion Prevention The platform connects to various Network Security equipment such as firewalls, IDS, Syslog, NMS, OT system watchdogs, etc. from both IT and OT

domains. Vulnerabilities and alerts transferred from network security equipment to TAMS can be used to trigger intrusion prevention actions on

various equipment connected to TAMS like blocking of switch ports, PLC controller changeover, etc.

IT/OT Information Correlation

TAMS is a singular platform that interfaces with both IT and OT elements in the network. Hence, correlation of various process parameters is

possible that will identify errors, issues or threats in the system and flag them.

A single glass pane view that provides information

of various sub-systems in a plant, collects

data/alarms, etc. from NIDS, allows an operator to
