![Page 20: Symposium on Parent Engagement - Session 3 "How Family Engagement Impacts Student Success"](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051817/54832abdb4af9f640d8b4964/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)

![Page 23: Symposium on Parent Engagement - Session 3 "How Family Engagement Impacts Student Success"](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051817/54832abdb4af9f640d8b4964/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Why has it been difficult to cultivate and sustain effective
family-school partnerships that support student achievement
and school improvement?
![Page 24: Symposium on Parent Engagement - Session 3 "How Family Engagement Impacts Student Success"](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051817/54832abdb4af9f640d8b4964/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
The various stakeholders (parents, school leaders, and school staff) have not had the opportunity to developthe collective capacity to engage in
effective partnerships.
